  1. Start with this process with printer off
  2. Press and hold resume Button (triangle in the circle) and press power button. the green led should be on
  3. While holding the Power button, release the Resume Button.
  4. Without releasing the Power Button, click “Resume” button for two times and release Both Buttons.
  5. Click “Resume” for four times then soon click “Power” button, to confirm the selected action (reset counter absorber).
  6. Turn off the printer and turn on again

Hello friend,
APP position error or Error Code 6A80
Condition: An error occurred in the APP motor.
Problems and Solutions:
  • Check for foreign material or paper debris around the purge drive system unit
    - remove foreign material.
  • Check for foreign material or paper debris around the ASF unit
    - remove foreign material.
  • If other solution fail, replace one off the following part
    - Purge drive system unit
    - Logic board

Canon IP3600, error # 6A80. Can't fix the issue


I have pixma ip3600 canon printer, been used 8months working fine, but today, when I turn on just wait for little whileand the amber light turn on, and when I open thetop cover the printer head won't move at all, please show me how to fix the problem. thanks. Email ( bui_lac972@yahoo.com )

How can I fix error No. 6A80 on my Canon Pixma iP4700


Hi, That error may cause of a paper jam, check your printer if there is blockage and then remove those blockage if no blockage, and the error still appear try to reset your printer.
To reset follow this:
1. Turn off the printer.
2. Pressed simultaneously for 10 seconds on the following buttons:
3. Release the button "On / Off".
4. After a few seconds release the other buttons.

Service Error 6A80


That error says there is something jammed in either the purge assembly or the sheet feeder on the back not able to turn. The purge assembly is on the right where the printhead parks for cleaning.

Error 6A80


Error 6A80 indicates that "an error occurred in the APP motor
during purging operation". Either the sheet feed unit, purge unit, or logic board could be at fault.

I'd recommend bringing the unit into your local canon authorized service facility for complete diagnostic and repair.
