The immediate solution is that your flash unit within or the triggger or control circuit to the flsh is fault.
now since thisis within and just opening wont solve issues, it is advice able that you have the camera checked for errors, to estimate for the fault .
This might save time and energy.

Sony4.1megapixel dscs90 lens will not open when i get the lens open it will not shut again have changed the batterys

Since the lens isnot opening, an error message "Turn OFF and ON again" should be appeared on the Camera. In that case, just remove the battery from the Camera and then press and hold the POWER button for 1 minute. Then, reinsert the battery into the Camera and check whether it works. That should work. If the issue still persists, service of the Camera ma require. Contact the manufacturer of the Camera to get it servced.

Lens goes in and out and error message 'turn

this message comes up if you have dropped your camera. try tapping the device while the message comes up. if that doesn't work then you have to take it to the sony service centre to replace the lens array. it costs about 60$ to replace it.

Hi!
It's flash problem - could be a dead flash fuse or flash board. You should contact your local Sony service center or if they ask too much, you can contact me at toms.rammsteins@gmail.com. If you have a multimeter and you're ready to open it and test the fuse, contact me.
I work in a Sony service center.
