Make sure you indicate the right paper type and weight on the print driver. The same that you are feeding your printer with.

No. Inkjets printers use liquid ink that is sprayed onto the paper through nozzles. Toner-based equipment uses powered ink that is electrostatically attracted to a metal drum then transferred to the paper and heat fused to it. The processes are completely different and require totally different internal hardware to achieve.

What is a fuser motor or unit?

The printer has several motors most of which are used to transport the paper from ''a'' to ''b'' to ''c'', etc...

The ''fuser'' motor is the motor that transports the paper to the section of the printer that ''fuses'' the image to the paper.

In other words, the ''ink dust'' (''toner'') inside the machine is layed on the paper (and stays there by static electricity until it reaches the ''fuser'' stage). The ''fuser'' motor brings the page to the ''fuser'' stage where heat burns the ''ink dust'' permanently onto the paper.

Ink Fusing Issue

Replace fuser unit. Be sure you are setting the paper type when printing. Thicker paper requires more heat and will damage the fuser.

Smudged ink

Chances are the fuser is not working correctly. How warm is the paper as soon as it leaves the printer? It should be quite warm. The fuser heats the toner and 'fuses' it to the paper. If the fuser does not get hot enough, then the toner which is a powder smudges on the paper. Also not setting the correct paper type for a tray will also cause the toner to smudge as the printer adjusts the temperature based on the type of paper selected.

Ink does not dry up

The printer doesn't use ink.
I'm thinking that your problem is that the toner is rubbing off the paper onto your hand.
You probably have a defective fuser.
In the grand scheme of things, the fuser gets hot and fuses (melts) the toner onto the paper.
Your fuser probably isn't getting hot enough to fuse the toner.
Get the fuser replaced.

I put an a4 glossy paper in for aphoto, try and print from the laptop but does not work. if i use normal a4 paper it works?

You need to find out the spec on the A4 photo grade paper.

If the paper is to heavy, then it will not pick and feed properly. If the paper is to glossy, it could cause the paper to slip and smudge or blurry the image.

If the paper is made for a laser printer, the ink will be absorbed into the page.

Laser printers fuse (heat and pressure) the image onto the paper. Ink printers, however, require that the paper be able to absorb the ink into the paper.

The paper comes out crumpled with smeared ink on one side

the problem is the fusing film of the printer. go to a store and try to change the fusing of your printer.

The "fuser" is the unit that melts the ink-dots into the paper,
to _permanently_ bond the ink to the paper.

That's why the paper always feels warm when being fed out of the printer.

If the fuser is not heating, you have a "fuser error".

Take the printer to a qualified Samsung technician, for trouble-shooting.

Ricoh 4420L ink isn't fusing to paper

If you are using regular fax paper, the paper is fed in up side down-real fax paper does not use ink-it uses impressions and the paper needs to be flipped upside down.
