Every xbox comes with the HD av cords. However they are not only the standard red, white, and yellow. But they also come with green, blue, and red av cords. These are the HD cords.Your HD tv should have green, blue, and red outlets on the back of the tv. It also has a another red and white outlet under it. So you have to take the HD cords and plug them into the appropriate outlets and then take the red and white cords from the other set of avs and plug them in right under those cords so you will have sound when you turn your xbox on. On my tv the red and white outlet is right under the HD outlet. But your tv may be different. And make sure that the "box" on the cord that reads either TV or HDTV is flicked toward HDTV.

How do i connect my sansui 4200a t.v. to my comcast cable?

If you have a cable box you need to connect this box to the TV. Find the OUT plug on the cable box and connect it to the corresponding IN plug on the TV. You can use several different connections to do this however they need to be consistent. For example, if the cables on your cable box are Red, White, and Yellow then the connections on your TV should also be Red, White, Yellow. These connections are color coded so you can match them up appropriately. After you have connected the cable box to the TV, you simply need to cycle to the correct input channel. To do this find the Input or Video Source button on your TV remote. Cycle through the inputs until you see/hear a signal.

If you do not have a cable box, simply connect the Coaxial cable to the back of the TV. This cable should screw securely onto the TV. Once you have done that, use the TV remote to change the channels.

Could you please tell me if my LC-32GA5E tv can work with sky HD.The manual tells about switching to hd mode, but there seems to be no where to connect hd to the set.The tv is about 5 years old. thanks...

This is an HD ready TV and can definitely be used with Sky HD, but ONLY if the Sky box is connected to the TV with an HDMI cable. It will not work if connected with a scart cable.

So you need 2 things. Firstly, you need to buy an HDMI cable (see picture) if you haven't already got one. Secondly you need to locate the HDMI sockets on your TV and Sky box. The sockets will have the HDMI logo (see picture) next to them.

Please rate my solution if you find this helpful. Thanks.330cd4e.jpg

If we have an hd-ready television and we have dishnetwork hd does their box make our tv hd? Or do we have to have their magical piece of equipment to make our television hd?or tv is the WS-55315 model.

You need a HD box connected to the DTV input on the back of the set (it is marked 1080) This set has only one HD input for this---HD ready means it will work only with a box (some newer sets have a HD tuner built into them and for basic HD channels do not need a box).

LC-26DA5U 26 in. HDTV-Ready LCD Television: i connect a hdmi cable 2 my hd cable box - the pic...

The cable box needs to be set to send different signals when using hd tv and standard tv. Usually a good setting would be 720p in hd and 480p in standard. The tv is working fine it is the cable box sending the signal. If you have another hdmi source such as a dvd player you may hook that up to show the tv is working just fine.

Why won't the HD channels come in on my lg flat screen monitor? We changed the cable box and everything. Any suggestions?

The first thing you need is the HD tuner. Since you stated that you changed the cable box I will assume that means it's HD ready.
So you have HD signal coming in to the cable box box by-way of a coaxial cable. Now you need to get that HD signal to the monitor. For this connection the standard coaxial cable normally used between the TV and cable box will not do the job. How many connection options you have depends entirely on the what is available on the monitor.
Normally there are three choices. Your monitor could have anyone of these, a combination of them or none if it's not HD ready.
They are Component cable, HDMI and DVI.
Component is a combination of three RCA type (red, blue, and green), connectors. Simply connect the "Component Out" from the cable box to the "Component In" on the monitor.
HDMI cable looks similar to a computer monitor cable but bigger. Same goes for this one. Connect the "HDMI Out" from the cable box to the "HDMI In" on the monitor.
An indirect connection can also be made if your monitor has a "DVI In" jack by using a cable that will allow you to come from the "Out" connection of either the HDMI or Component on the cable box to the "DVI In" on the monitor.
If you are unclear about anything or you have any other questions please just ask and I'll try and help out.

No digital reception with HD ready TV.

Someone did not explain to you what HDTV "Ready" means. It means you do not have a ATSC tuner in it to except over the air digital signal. The only way you will get digital reception is either from a HD Cable box with RGB outputs that plug into your RGB inputs, or being on Satellite connecting the same way. Seven years ago manufacturers never made it easy to understand and Salesmen only made it worse. So in short the term HDTV Ready meant it can, with a BOX.

This model only has an analog tuner, so you will require either a converter box or hi-def tuner after the transition.

When x box 360 is plugged in to tv,there is no signal

try reconnecting all the cables and make sure you have the right setting(normal tv or hd, theres a switch on the cable), if that doesnt work, you might have a faulty cable, or even worse your xbox has an interal problem(very hard to explain, read this if you cant connect to tv....(http://xbox-experts.com/e/errorcodes.php) and you'll need to send it to microsoft for repairs.

How do I connect xbox 360 and Wii to TV on HD ready service?

Actually this service didn't help me. I have been fobbed of with an answer. After trying a couple of things that I actually read before hand out of a text book, your Expert!! advised me that infact I do not need to use the HD button supplied on my Xbox as my TV is HD ready...... Even the TV experts laughed at that.
