GE Dishwasher

I ran my dishwasher @ 11:00 a.m yesterday. I was gone for the rest of the day. When I got up this a.m. @ 7:00 I noticed that the dishwasher was HOT. The "clean" light was on, meaning it had finished the cycle, but when I opened the door the racks were so hot that I could not touch them. Items on the counter were even warm. This is a new dishwasher bought in December 2007.
