Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

I have a Canon Multipass F80. I ran out of all of my ink and put in all new cartridges. It acts like it is printing but nothing shows on the page. I have had this printer for 5 years and have never had this happen before! Help!

Try shaking the cartridges to get the ink to the bottom and also touch the head to a kleenex to see if any ink comes onto the cloth

Let me know what you find when doing this.

thanks

Try wetting the kleenex if no ink comes out the first time when touched, the head may just be too dry.

Canon f80 multipass New five years ago never

Are you using Windows Vista or Windows 7? If so, the driver download page at Canon does not provide drivers beyond XP. Otherwise, go back to the XP (or earlier versions) driver downlaod site and download the MultiPASS F80 Software User's Guide. That may provide the answer to your problem. Also, if you are using unpopular, proprietary software programs the driver may not recognize the commands. Good Luck!

I have a canon multi pass f80 printer. it is several years old (10?) i love it and have had NO problems. last night i went to print and my black ink has a new cartridge and there is no ink coming out...i...

First you need to ensure that this is not a driver problem, by reinstalling drivers and testing the printer on a different computer.

Also ensure that ink cartridges are OK, try replacement inks.

If the problem is not a software problem, and the printer is recognised by computer, and the printout is coming as a blank or faded page, then you usually have a faulty or clogged printhead.

Try first performing print head cleaning procedure from printer tools, that may not fix the problem, but do the cleaning a couple of times, just in case.

If the print head is clogged, that can be fixed soaking the print head in isopropyl alcohol overnight.

If still no luck, then the printhead must be replaced, here is the part: Canon MULTI-PASS F-80 Print Head $61.00

Canon Multipass F30 not printing

Did you remove the tab that covers the cartridge head where the ink comes out, if the drivers and software that you loaded on your pc work
good and your printer shows under device MGR, then it is the printer
itself,,most times you can not see how much ink in the cart,,,most are sealed,,,just try to put the cart in again and make sure it is locked in good,,try running the cleaning program with pc,,make sure the right
cart is in the right spot, bl in one spot and color in a spot.

Canon F80 Multipass. Print carriage stuck far right. Was showing "Wrong Cartridge" but that has disappeared. Just before getting stuck would only print blank pages.

well, according to the error message, i think u should try reaseating the current cartridges, then, if that doesn't work, replacing the ink cartridges should. MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE CARTRIDGES ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR PRINTER. otherwise, it will not work

hope this helps
