If it changes from red to green and stays green while being charged, it is just a sign that it is being charged and there is nothing wrong.
If it flashes back and forth between red and green while charging, there might be something wrong with your charger's connection.
If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.
it is a common problem with the battery, it can be observed when changing with a diff charger other than the one specified to the phone . try charging with the original charger or replace the battery if the problem exists. there is nothing wrong with the phone
Compaq chargers get heated up a lot when charging. This is a common problem.
Based on the issues you mentioned, unfortunately you would need to get the battery changed.
Regarding the charge cord getting heated up, try keeping it on a concrete/cold surface to lessen the heat. Unfortunately nothing more can be done about it, and as i said compaq chargers do get heated up quickly.
Thanks.
There is nothing to change , should start charging automaticlly.....I would recommend installing the new battery , plugging in the laptop and keeping it off....see if that gets it charged up. It could be that it is just fully drained.
Also , did you have problems with charging with your last battery? It could be possible that your charger is shot , thats why none of the batterie's charged.
did that, both chargers work, fully charged both batteries. But when i plug the chargers into e6 it does not say charging battery and the battery symbol does not blink
d505 not charge battery
