Go to the philips website and check for it's software download. Get the version that matches the camera version.

Why can't I transfer images from my camera to computer

Click on Start.
In Start search-box, type : Scanners and Cameras

In the device list, check if ur camera shows up or not
(u need to properly connect the camera to computer, turn the camera on)

If not, check the cable & connectors again. Click on Refresh.

If still not showing, click on Add Device, and select ur camera.

You may check ur camera with any other PC to ensure its not a problem with camera or cable.

If you've installed any new software after which it started, then uninstall them, restart PC and check camera again.

If there is any software installed for ur camera, uninstall it, restart PC, reinstall the software again. And then check.

If nothing works, it might be a corrupt Operating System.
Backup ur important data, and get the OS reinstalled.
(You should use the OS recovery disk u got along with this Dell PC)

I can't write with my DVD Philips SDVD 8821. May I need the driver for my DVD Philips SDVD 8821? Or I must to do anything else. Thanks

To read and write I use NERO. You can download a trial version. You have to have burning software. I have a feeling your computer installed the DVD but, go to control panel, system folder and open it. You should see a hardware tab click it. Open the device manager and see if your dvd player is listed. If it isn't then go to the DVD maker (Philips) site and see if they have a download for a driver for it, or the computer make might have software for it.

Hi There,

If you have a usb lead that came with the camera, connect that lead to the computer system. Then go to my computer and you will a flash drive on the system normally f: just use it like normall folder.

the other way is to load you software which came with your camera, load it onto computer system and follow the instructions.

Philip

Ive conected my philips webcam SPC110NC to the usb port in my computer and ive tried to use it on windows msgr. no pic has showed. me and the person im connecting to have the same camera, neither one can...

What a joke. You have to install or at least configure drivers (from Philips; read what came with the camera for a site to get drivers by) for the camera to work. Then, when you can select the camera as an input device and 'scan' images (e.g. in GIMP or IrfanView or some photo tool) from the Philips unit, you're ready to configure Windows Messenger to use it. After that...you should be seeing pictures fine.

It's like you connected a piano to an orchestra, but no pianist (or more directly, a camera head to a vision controller, but no shutter sync control.)

How can i get started with my webcam

You need to install the SOFTWARE that came with the camera before you hook the camera up to your PC. If you hooked the camera up first you will need to UNINSTALL it and then run the software and reattach the camera.
Follow the promts in the software to set up the system, but keep in mind that A LOT of earlier cameras and especially Dynex have issues with XP and other Newer Systems.
If you have a webcam installed on a Laptop then you should have a readme file availble for setup.

Philips SPC900NC How do I get the camera microphone to work through its USB connection

Hi john673,

make sure that the specific driver/software for that camera is installed properly, apparently the audio driver for the microphone is also included on the software packaged with it. If you din't have the drivers, you may try to download it here:

http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?scy=US&slg=AEN&cat=PC_CAMERAS_CA&sct=WEBCAMS_SU&session=20080513045623_121.97.80.100&grp=PC_PRODUCTS_GR&ctn=SPC900NC/27&mid=Link_Software&hlt=Link_Software

if the camera and its drivers are installed properly, you may check the voice recording properties of your pc and try selecting the philips/usb microphone from the drop down box.

hope this helps

Cheers and best regards,
