I have this problem with my digital 8 sony

DCR - TR 8100 E and DCR - TRV 120 E after using for 8 years; do away all batteries (the small too); than give several soft hits on the bottom of the camera; install the batteries and go on; this will help for several weeks -then the error code appears again; do the same and your nice dcr will work -no cause to give to repair or do to the litter-bag.

Condensation errors are quite common and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it’s not a user serviceable problem and will need to be diagnosed by a qualified service technician.
My name is Rick and I’m a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I’m semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

If this response has been of any help to you, please be sure and give a positive vote for me on FixYa.com .

How do I get a jvc camcorder out of safeguard mode. Error 06

Step 1 Look at the camcorder's display to identify if it is in Safeguard Mode. If its display indicates an error number of E01 to E06, your camcorder is in Safeguard Mode.
Step 2 Disconnect your camcorder from its power source and remove its battery by sliding the latch forward and sliding the battery down while pulling it away from the camera's body. Wait at least two minutes before continuing.
Step 3 Remove the camera's cassette by pressing the "Eject" button, waiting for the cassette door to open, and lifting it out of the tape bay. This step is only necessary if the camera indicates the E03 or E04 error code or it tells you to eject and reinsert the tape.
Step 4 Replace the camera's battery, power connection and cassette, and turn the camera on.

I have a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV22E Mini DV Digital camera. When I try to play a tape there are beeps for a while and the LCD screen blinks displaying the code C:32:23. The trouble shooting page suggest

hi,

this may due to a brutal temperature and humidity in the ambient, like when you have your cam in a case or transport bag, and out is cold, the moment of passing from the temperature of inside to outside the thermal chock creates moisture everywhere, inside the mechanisms but also on lenses, a good way to remove the moisture is to use those little bags, that are filed with silica gel

or you can make good replacement, with tea bags filled with rice ! (the rice is an excellent dryer and reusable after putting them a min in microwave )

here is a picture of an iphone saved with rice:

and after that i would recommend you to use a head cleaner tape !

1. The light is not on after turn on power 2. The cassette holder could not come out after open cover.

There is a reset button behind the LCD .Open LCD press slithly the rest button and dont forget to use a fully charged battery. For the cassette to rise after opening the lid for the cassette ,make sure you open the lid up to its end,if doesnt respond close it half way and back again. If my trick worked "Ke tsona" meaning good shot! Sony TRV120 Won't load tape C21:00 code

From the user manual ...

Under self diagnosis display
--------------------------------------------------
C21:00
Moisture condensation has occurred.
Remove the cassette and leave your camcorder for at least 1 hour to acclimatize. (p117)

On p117
-------------------------------------------------
If your camcorder is brought directly from a cold to a warm place, moisture may condense inside your camcorder, on the surface of the tape, or on the lens. In this condition, the tape may stick to the head drum and be damaged or your camcorder may not operate correctly. If there is moisture inside your camcorder, the beep sounds and the [picture of water drip] indicator flashes. When the [end tape icon] indicator flashes at the same time, the cassette is inserted in your camcorder. If moisture condenses on the lens, the indicator will not appear.

If moisture condensation occurred
None of the functions except cassette ejection will work. Eject the cassette, turn off your camcorder, and leave it for about 1 hour with the cassette compartment open. Your camcorder can be used again if the [water drip] indicator does not appear when the power is turned on again.

Note on moisture condensation
Moisture may condense when you bring your camcorder from a cold place into a warm place (or vice-versa) or when you use your camcorder in a hot place as follows:
- You bring your camcorder from a ski slope into a place warmed up by a heating device.
- You bring your camcorder from an air-conditioned car or room into a hot place outside.
- You use your camcorder after a squall or a shower.
- You use your camcorder in a high temperature and humidity place.

How to prevent moisture condensation
when you bring your camcorder from a cold place into a warm place, put your camcorder in a plastic bag and tightly seal it. Remove the bag when the air temperature inside the plastic bag has reached the surrounding temperature (after about 1 hour).

the switch is on the electronic board under the tape compartment. you have to unscrew the screws and unplug all the wires to take it out. be careful though, you have to put it back the way it was otherwise you will mess up the machanisim on that machine. good luck

JVC HR-S9700 TAPE STUCKS, HAVE TO BE PULLED OUT, CASSETTE DOOR REMAIND OPEN,VCR SWITCHES OFF-CAN NOT BE PLAYED AGAIN

Check out the drive that works the unloading and loading operation of your machine. Also check the switch that is activated by the presence of your cassette. If something is wrong with the latter, the tape will not load and unload properly. And under those circumstances your machine will not work.
Try Google search for your questions. You may get lucky and get the answers right there!
