Hi,
You need to check for the wireless switch located on your laptop. Once the wireless switch is on, you'll be able to see networks in range and you will be able to connect to your network wireless.
Good Luck!

You would have to re-install the ENTIRE Operating system IF you do NOT have a Recovery Partition or Norton's Ghost, which was common on many older Dell Computers.

I have a Dell E1505 and have lost my wireless completely. My computer acts as though it doesn't have wireless at all. I think i have lost my wireless card, is there a way to get it back??? Please help??

check on wifi if it is lit up, if not try press and hold Fn and F2. verify if the wireless card is detected in devicemanager - it is under network connection - make sure there is no red x or any exclamation mark on it

My dell inspirion e 1505 will not let me restore to october only one week back from today why and how do i fixit

generally and indication that the system restore data files are corrupt. To fix, turn off system restore and reboot, then turn it on again and reboot, this purges the file and create a new restore point.

Dell Inspirion E1505 internet connection problem

Have you properly entered in all of your network's info into the laptop?  Sometimes security settings can block access to the Wireless network.  Here's a quick way to diagnose network connection.  (Make sure you know the IP address of your router!)
1. open your Command Prompt
2. type in the following "ping (Router IP address example: 192.168.1.1 " after entering the following press enter.  (you should see a series of lines that say how long the packet took to make a round trip...if not, then you have no connection to the wirless network)
3. if the results of the ping test read "100% loss" you know that connection is definately not established.
Your next course of action should be to inspect your laptop's settings and ensure that your laptop can "see" the router.  If your laptop's NIC ( Network Interface Card ) cannot detect the network it is possible that the NIC is bad or your router isn't set to "Broadcast" your SSID ( Service Set Identifier ) aka network.  this following article might be able to assit you in the troubleshooting process more throughly.  I hope this to be of some help to you!
