Question about Refrigerators

2 Answers

Hi I have no water being dispensed from water outlet when you try to fill glass. Have tried that there is water flow to bottom of door when you disconnect pipework joiner there. Everything else is good, have no filter in fridge at the moment as thought it was blocked but was not the problem. Any ideas to try would be appreciated. Thanks Nigel

Yes the plug is installed in place of filter as detailed in owners manual.
It seems that there is a blockage between the connector behind the kick panel and the outlet where the water would normally dispense. i had this joiner disconnected and it will let the water flow correctly when you push touch pad with glass, but when i connect pipe joiner together again it will not come out at top.

Hi Nigel.

A first test to do is a complete defrost, or a controlled defrost of dispenser unit, used an hairdryer set on cold air (so to not damage the fridge). Better performing a complete defrost if possible. This will exclude possibility of frozen ice blockage on the dispenser side (you have already tested the rest of the lines).

If that does not help, then problem is either the dispenser actuator or the dispenser inlet valve, in that case the dispenser must be taken apart to test the part.
Both parts are tested using a multimeter on Ohms and reading if the switch is opening and closing, and if the valve as continuity when circuit is open. Before disassemblying remember that this can affect your warranty status.

Just installed a new Bosch fridge, ice dispenser dispenses ice but water does not dispense?

Make sure it has water on the container and no obstruction on the water dispenser. Try several times. Since it was new unit, sometimes water has not yet completely fill the dispenser tubing hence it will not dispense water.
Look for some carton, foam or plastic obstruction around the dispenser, it may cause hindrance of not flowing water from dispenser into the glass.
Thanks for asking.

Water in door is not coming out very much intermiient

There is a mesh screen filter in the water supply line where it connects to the water inlet valve on the back of the unit. You can disconnect the line coming out of the valve and try the dispenser to see if it comes out normal. You can disconnect it at the bottom of the freezer door to see if it comes out normal there. If it does the water could be freezing in the door. Leave the door open till it thaws out. Cover the freezer with a blanket to prevent loosing too much cold air.
If you have a water filter it could need changing.

Water from dispenser very slow

You could have a piched H2O line somewhere near where the door connects at the bottom front corner or a bad water valve could be the issue. There should be a water container in the rear of the inside of the fresh food side that stores water. Make sure its not leaking or has any obstructions to it or the lines to and from it.

there is a chance that the bottle that holds your water in the fridge compartment.could be broken or a line maybe disconnected this would cause water to leak in the fridge compartment.this bottle is designed to hold the water and get it cold before dispensing to your glass

How to increase the water flow from water dispencer on a FLSC238DSO when getting water it takes for ever to fill a glass

If your fridge has a water filter, you should change it every 3 months. An old filter can cause slow flow problems.

But it will never come out as fast as the kitchen sink. Depending on the location of your fridge, you have 10 to 25 feet of 1/4" pipe between your water glass and the high-flow plumbing, and water just won't move very fast through that.

check no ice build up in bottle but the most likely cause is poor water pressure on the inlet. no cure except to improve water pressure. if there is a valve in the input water line, check it is fully open
