I am using Firefox the latest version and connot get Adobe Flash, the latest version, to function. What am I doing wrong?

Uninstall your flash from the Add/Remove Program menu in the Control Menu. Try installing flash again. Sometime the flash player have issue installing correctly. Make sure you download the flash player directly from Adobe's site. Normally, if the player is installed correctly it will play a very short video on Adobe's site to verify the player is working properly.

I have windows 7 SP 1and IE 10 but can not get Flash Player to work

Still, come on people, you're idiots, haven't you read 'red' that IE10 does not support Flash properly, you just clicked Download???
To fix this you might try to go to Tools-Manage add-ons-Then enable the Flash player if it's disabled.
If that does not help, you'll need to go back to Internet Explorer 9.
Just Uninstall IE10 but for safety install any other browser.

I dont have vista .i have xp .is there a fix for windows xp?current error message reads adobe/go/tn_19166.

Adobe Flash Player failed to install.

When upgrading to a newer version of Adobe Flash Player, it (AFP), will not install if there is a previous version installed.

AND, it will Not automatically uninstall the older version.

Use the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller tool. After it is finished, go back to Adobe Flash Player Support, download, and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.

there could be two differrent problems here.

1. Currupted flash player- download flash uninstaller and uninstall your current flash version. then (re)install the current version of flash player.

the flash uninstaller is on this page: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
the current version of flash player is on this page: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

2. windows mixer in vista/7 has the web browser turned down- Right click on the volume icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, and select "volume mixer". then ensure that your web browser (most likely, internet explorer) has the volume turned up.

Why not run video

Hi,

Videos on YouTube are streamed through Adobe Flash player. If you're having trouble playing and viewing videos YouTube, we suggest you install the latest version of the Flash player: this will allow you to easily play YouTube videos.
Here's how to upgrade to the most recent version of Adobe's Flash Player:
  1. Before installing the most recent version of Adobe Flash player, you will need to first uninstall any older versions of the Flash player you've installed in the past and currently have running on your computer.

Please completely uninstall the version of Flash you're currently running, before upgrading to the most recent version. To uninstall Flash, follow Adobe's instructions, listed here. You'll need to download Adobe's official Uninstaller to remove Flash.

  2. Once you've uninstalled the older version of Flash, you'll be ready to upgrade to the most recent version of Flash.
To upgrade to the most recent version of the Flash player, please follow these steps:

    1. Follow Adobe's instructions for reinstalling the most recent version of Flash.
    2. Once you've downloaded the latest version of Adobe Flash, please exit your browser.
    3. Finally, click to install the update that you just downloaded to your computer from the Adobe Flash site.
Once you've done so, open your browser again and go to YouTube. You should now be able so successfully watch videos!

If the instructions above don't resolve the issue, please also try the following:
  1. Temporarily disable popup blocking software installed on your computer to test.
  2. Allow YouTube.com as a trusted site in your Firewall software.
  3. Ensure other applications like Quicktime, iTunes, Real Player, or Windows Media Player aren't set as the default streaming application, as this might affect the video player.

For Windows Vista users:
If the Flash uninstall / reinstall does not work this maybe due to a Microsoft Windows Vista permissions issue.
Please use the Windows button at the bottom left then the search function:
  • Go to: C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\.
  • Right-click on the following file: FlashUtil9b.exe or FlashUtil9e.exe.
  • Select "Run as Administrator" and install the update..
  • Restart your computer.
Please post your feedback and vote if the issue is resolved as per your satisfaction.
    if(document.getElementById('kb_ie7') != null) showLayer('kb_ie7'); if(document.getElementById('kb_ie7_win') != null) showLayer('kb_ie7_win'); if(document.getElementById('z_ie7') != null) toggleZippy('z_ie7'); if(document.getElementById('z_ie7_win') != null) toggleZippy('z_ie7_win'); if(document.getElementById('kb_ie') != null) showLayer('kb_ie'); if(document.getElementById('kb_ie_win') != null) showLayer('kb_ie_win'); if(document.getElementById('z_ie') != null) toggleZippy('z_ie'); if(document.getElementById('z_ie_win') != null) toggleZippy('z_ie_win'); if(document.getElementById('kb_win')) showLayer('kb_win'); if(document.getElementById('z_win')) toggleZippy('z_win'); if(document.getElementById('kb_winvista')) showLayer('kb_winvista'); if(document.getElementById('z_winvista')) toggleZippy('z_winvista'); if(document.getElementById('kb_IN')) showLayer('kb_IN'); if(document.getElementById('z_IN')) toggleZippy('z_IN'); if(document.getElementById('kb_non_US')) showLayer('kb_non_US'); if(document.getElementById('z_non_US')) toggleZippy('z_non_US');

I cant seem to download flash player the newest version. i have windows 7

I assume you mean that you cannot GET the Flash Player 9 to download at all. Adobe is having problems with Flash player 9 right now. They may have made Flash Player 9 unavailable temporarily. Use the ADOBE.com site for your new version. You can UNINSTALL your old version with 'Add/Remove Programs' first. This can help.
If you have Flash player 7, Flash player 9 may not install. Please see this page for more info:
