I am currently trying to solve this prob myself. i have discovered that if you remember exactly where things are on the menu, and how many clicks it takes to get there, it will still work. I am mostly making calls by dialing manually though. this is really only a temporary sol'n though. it's hard to work w/o the screen.

My phone screen has gone black

hey um yer not to good, by the sounds of it the phone has stuffed your screen not to hard to fix ive fixed so many of them, have look on eBay, trade me for the brand and model of your phone and then screen replacement but make sure you get a display screen not a LCD screen or you will just be buying a touch screen and look on you tube on how to put it in, it is so much cheaper then getting the company to do it and probably faster, i hope i help
