Listed under Accessories then System tools you will see Disk Defragmenter. Is pretty straight forward once you open up the program. It doesnt really speed the PC up that much just finds files a bit quicker but every little bit helps

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hi, the Deep Virus Scan simply means to scan your whole system for viruses (all files on your system, can take a long time),
The virus program in question must be updated daily otherwise it won't find the latest infections.

Defrag C: means goto Windows Explorer, right button click the C: drive , select the tools tab, goto defragmentation and start defragging,

Hope this helps.

GeWiz.

Had to reformat my panasonic cf-73 without OEM disks and now I can't get my touch screen to work

if you dont have the software - dont do it.

May I suggest instead, you do a cleanup and defrag of your computer.

If you need help with this ... let me know.

Im not telling you how to do it at this point because you didnt ask.

My computer operates very slowly and erraticly , sometimes at normal speed and sometimes very slowly, and even not responding at all for a few minutes. I have a Dell 9100 Inspiron with Microsoft XP Home...

To defrag your hard drive go to , start menu --> all programs --> accessories --> system tools --> disk defragment --> then select your hard drive and click defragment. This can take a few hours depending on how big your hard drive is and how much stuff you got. This may not even speed up your system. if your computer is running slow go to task manager and go to the proccesses tab and check if there is any unnessesary proccess running, if so just end them. write down the name of it and then delete it from your computer if you dont need it. :) hope that works. :)

Wont defrag

sounds like you have either a virus or malware affecting your PC - first run scandisk to make sure there are no physical problems with the disk - then download an anti-malware package like spybot S&D - this is free and you may be surprised what it finds on your system!
once this is done try defragging again -alternatively - convert your HD to NTFS and this will not only speed it up but reduce the need to defrag dramatically

hope this helps 8)

When i start my c200 laptop then it take 3-4 minutes for start. then after it is o.k. but i dont know why it take too much time . even i have new operating system.

once it has started, go to run, type msconfig in the startup disable all, in the services, tick the hide all Microsoft service, apply then restart. Go back to msconfig and enable them one by one to find the culprit. you will need all your security software!

My computer is filling up

defrag you HDD, that is one of the best simple solutions you may be able to do.

open my computer

right click on your local drive (C:)

then click properties

click tools then select disk defragment

then click on defrag now

on vista all you have to do is click on defrag now, on XP you will have to see the status first, then defrag.

on XP if the colors you see are separated, you really have to defrag, this will take at least an hour, depending on the status of your HDD.
