Question about Samsung SCH-u740 Cellular Phone
The phone would have to be replaced. Depending on your carrier it may or may not be a costly process. I know Verizon will generally replace a liquid damage phone at not cost if it is still in warranty, but will make you buy a new battery if that got fried.
Since it sounds like your phone powers on alright, then I'd say the battery is probably ok.
The sooner you bring the phone in the better, because the phone may eventually die completely. You'll want to bring it in before then so they can try to save your data on the phone.
