Is this a WII system that you are trying to connect to the Internet with? If so, you may have to open a port on the router to for access to be permitted.

How do i connect to internet when i try it says unable to preform the wii system update because of an internet error and im getting the error code 32002

Try changing your channel on the router to 11 or 1. For Linksys WRT54G routers enter the ip address of the router (default is 192.168.1.1) enter password and user name (default is admin/admin) then click wireless tab, now select a different wireless channel from the drop down box. Fix is not guaranteed to work for all consoles.

The WEP encryption has to be set on Key 1 in order for the Wii to recognize it. It's the same with the DS

I found a solution to this. I was able to pass the connection test, but I would fail during update with code 32002. The solution turned out to be to enter manually the ip address of DNS that my wireless router used. (via email, thanks jamh)

I had to change the MTU value from 0 (Default) to 1500 witch it was in the router for the Wii to finally connect and download the updates.

Hope this helps
Tom

Hi my wii wont let me down load are system update it keeps saying error and wont finish.it also keeps saying a code 32002

According to Nintendo, error 32002 means: "Lost connection during Wii system update". So, the problem probably lies either in your internet connection or in Nintendo's server. If you're using a slow internet connection such as dial-up, then the easiest solution would be to upgrade to a faster connection - most modern gaming applications require one anyways. However, if you're using a faster internet connection, try these tips:
- If you have a wireless connection, be sure that no one is using a microwave or cordless phone while you are trying to download the update, both of these devices can cause interference
- If you are on a college campus or using a shared internet connection with many people, try updating your console at an unusual time, like two or three o'clock in the morning when no one else is online
- wait a day or two and try again; Nintendo may be having server troubles
- call Nintendo's helpline at 1-800-255-3700 and tell them about your problem
Hope this helps!

Error code 32002

From the Nintendo Website -
Error Code: 32002
Lost connection during Wii system update
Likely causes: Your Internet connection has slowed or was interrupted, or our servers could be busy.
Verify the following:
Slow or incompatible Internet connections can "time out" and result in this error code. Are you using a broadband Internet connection such as DSL, cable, or fiber optic? Other, slower types of connections, may not be compatible. Click here for more info about compatible connection types. Try the following:
Check for wireless interference, which can affect the signal strength to the Wii console. To help minimize wireless interference, try the following:
Make sure other wireless devices such as cordless phones or wireless speakers are turned off, and that the Wii console is an open area without objects or electronics blocking the signal. (For instance, if the Wii is placed in a crowded entertainment center, try moving the Wii somewhere with more room.) Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may be weaker. For help doing this, click here and select your router brand and model (if available). The information you need is found in the "Broadcast Channel:" area. Manually change your Wii console's DNS settings. To do this, follow these steps: Access the Wii system settings (how to), and use the right arrow twice and select "Internet." Select "Connection Settings," and choose the connection file (1, 2, or 3) that are you are currently using. Select "Change settings" and click the right arrow 3 times to reach "Auto-Obtain DNS." Select "No," and choose "Advanced Settings." Click into the "Primary DNS" field and enter: 8.8.8.8 Click into the "Secondary DNS" field and enter: 8.8.4.4 Please note: These are public DNS's provided by Google and are subject to Google's Terms of Service. If you prefer to not use this service, doing an Internet search for "public DNS" will provide you with several other options you can use.
Select "Confirm," and then "Save." Select "OK" to start the connection test. Once the test finishes, try to download the update again. Our servers may be busy, especially if a new update for the Wii system is available. Wait at least a couple of hours and try to download the update again. If after waiting several hours you are still receiving this error code, please call 1-800-255-3700. If you are still getting this error code after trying the steps above, please call 1-800-255-3700 for further assistance.

Error code 32002 when trying to update

Try changing the channel on your wireless router to channel 1 or channel 11 which can increase download speeds. The error means your wii encountered a connection error whilst downloading the update from nintendo, this could be your internet connection, or too many people on nintendo servers

How to fix error code: 3002

hi there,
I couldnt find any error code 3002, but there is an error code 32002! If this is the error you got, this is nothing to worry about. this was the result of a failed update from nintendo, the console was not able to receive it for whatever reason. This will correct itself the next time you are connected to the internet with your console or will keep trying until it does update. Hope this helps.

Trying to establish internet connection on wii and I keep getting error code 32002.

look and make sure the wii has the correct dns server if not correct it(type "IPCONFIG/ALL" into the command box to see the dns server it should have), and if that doesn't work try to disable your firewall when its connecting.

Error Code: 32002 The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection servers could be experiencing a high amount of traffic. Please try your connection again later.
If you have waited several hours and are still unable to connect, there could be an issue with your connection. Please review the folliwing information:

  • Ensure you have entered the correct DNS into the Wii console's manual settings (link). You can verify this by following these steps:
    1. Click the "Start" button in the lower left-hand corner of your computer.
    2. Click "Run."
    3. Type "cmd" into the box and press Enter.
    4. Type "IPCONFIG/ALL" and press Enter.
    5. The Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Primary DNS (first listed), and Secondary DNS (second listed) information will be displayed. Ensure the information you have entered into the Wii console's Manual Settings appear exactly as displayed.
    6. If you have more than one DNS server listed, try switching the first and second in the Wii's primary and secondary DNS server slots.
  • Try temporarily disabling your router's firewall. *

  • If you are still receiving this error code, please click here for assistance.
    Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector

    Wii LAN Adapter

If you have tried the steps above but are still having issues connecting, it's possible that our servers may be temporarily down. Please try your connection again later.
*While Nintendo provides this information for our consumers' use, it is up to each consumer to determine what security needs they have for their own networks, and to decide how best to configure their network settings to meet those needs.
