I can't download the driver of my ativa router,...

I just can't seem to download the driver of my ativa wireless router nor install the hardware using the enclosed cd installer, im not really computer literate and my pc was just passed on to me by a brother.......also, i suspect that that the power supply of the router has been busted when my son played with the power supply (which was just recently....after i have tried to install the router).....anybody patient enough to lend a hand?

What model is it? And is this a router you're talking about or a notebook wireless adapter, a card that lets you onto a wireless network?
