Question about Canon PIXMA MP960 Printer

Open Question

My Canon MP960 printer won't scan. I'm pressing all the right buttons, but it won't scan. I'm not getting an error page or anything, and I don't know why it won't work.

SOURCE: how can you scan on printer canon mp 180?

Try scanning using the following method

Open Word document
Click on Insert - Select Picture - Select Scanner or Camera
In the popup window, check whether the Canon MP180 option appears, if so, select the same, this should scan the document.

If the Canon MP180 doesn't appear, then the drivers are not installed properly, you can download the same from canon.com

SOURCE: my canon mp240 printer will not scan

It won't scan unless it's connected to a computer, and has the scan software running. Will it copy a document on the glass?

SOURCE: trying to scan, but keep getting error code

I finally got a solution to my problem, which is the same as this one. When trying to scan via USB, you have to make sure the unit is set to USB. On the top panel just above the LCD display, is 3 buttons, Copy, Fax, Scan. Hit the SCAN button, till the display says USB SCANNING. Then try to scan again. Good luck!!

U052 error

UO52 error is either a print head temp sensor error or faulty EEPROM data from the print head. You need to re-set the print head. If that fails then a new print head is required.

Error Message "Page too Complex"

Hi Sccfire, This apparently is a fairly common problem with the 2800 series printer and associated with connection to a PC using USB. It can only be overcome by manually configuring the printer?s USB port to work in standard mode rather than at high-speed USB2.0 mode which probably won?t be to much of a problem. Here is a link from a support page on HP?s site that should walk you through the process: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c00506095 Let us know how it goes and please don?t forget to rate the posting.
