Question about Frigidaire GLTF2940ES Front Load Washer
I had the same problem. I tried this solution and remarkably it worked for 1 load. Then same thing - no final spin. I read through all the fixya solutions and an older post mentioned the pump inlet filter being clogged. I removed the front panel (2 screws near feet and detached the large black rubber tube held on by a screw. Reaching down in there is a plastic filter about 1" x 3" long to protect the pump. Sure enough there was a quarter in there (along with hair and other junk) that was clogging the outlet. I cleaned these out and it worked fine.
I would also point out that getting the ring seal back on correctly was a pain in the **** because there is very little plastic to work with. You have to feel around the back to make sure the rubber is properly sealed.
As a word of warning, I have a shop vac so thanks for the hint to drain the inside tub before removing the seal.

So while there may be many reasons for this problem it is quick and easiest to first check the electrical plugs are connected and second the filter is clean. After that the door lock has also been proposed as a problem.

Check 5 pin cable from control board down to the speed control board (lower left rear of machine) Had the same problem as yours and found the plug was slightly off. Terrible design, plug is just pushed on contacts on the board not into a matching plug.

Tips for a great answer:
Hello Don Perna - I understand that the washer will not spin or drain; however is it making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose or pump is clogged and needs cleaning. Try setting the washer to a spin cycle only. Will water pump out? If it does not, then the unit could possibly be experiencing a communication error with the control board, faulty pump, timer or door lock assembly. If I was in your position, I will personally contact a professional for an accurate diagnosis and to assist with the repairs. You can often locate a qualified service provider by visiting the manufacturer website.

Hello Bruce Cubie - This particular issue can be caused by quite a few reasons. First, confirm that the door is securely latching. Second, is the washer making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose or pump is clogged and needs cleaning. Otherwise, since the motherboard has already been replaced, it sounds like the unit could possibly be experiencing a communication error from the control board such as a wiring failure, faulty door lock assembly, pump or timer itself is not operating correctly. At this point, I would strongly recommend contacting a local professional for further diagnosis should all troubleshooting measures fail. You can often locate certified technicians by visiting the manufacturer website.
