I have a DeLonghi PACW130E that says HL in the display. whats the problem?

'make model (what it is)' in all questions please. 'HL' is always high limit and refers to an over heat situation.

Spa display is reading HL. The HL reading in the display stands for Hi-Limit. The hi-limit is measuring the temperature at the heater, not the actual water temperature of the spa.

The L indicates that the child lock feature has been enabled. This ensures that the burners do not function while you clean the cook top and that a child can't turn on any burners.

The procedure depends on your cook top model. For some induction models, to toggle the child lock feature off, press the front right burner zone display and the booster function key (circle with a solid circle inside on the right of the selector zone) simultaneously. Then press the front right burner zone display again until the L disappears from the display.

For an electric ceramic cooktop DTCH808, to turn off the child lock completely, press the bottom right + in a circle and the - in a circle (in the center surrounded by 4 of the + in a circle areas) simultaneously and then release the keys. If you are proficient at working on these machines, you should be able to get a replacement display from your local Delonghi agent to fit yourself. The fault is likely to be in the onboard driver or the display itself. Simply replacing it should sort it.

I think what you are seeing is "FL", rather than HL. FL indicates that the water collection bucket is FULL & needs to be drained. Sometimes. the LED letters on the screen can be hard ti read.
