The most likely scenario is that the CRT socket pins on that board need soldering. The board slides off the neck of the tube after loosening the fastener. you should see the solder cracks around the Socket pins.

What causes the picture to have a green tint

there are 3 color cathode in your TV red, green, blue cathode. The red and blue cathode might not working in your set that is why you have a green screen. Open the back cover of your TV you can immediately see the 3 cathode lamp at the back. Clean the lamp first using a clean clothe. Power up you tv and see whether the 3 lamps are lit. If lamps do not light up,check the circuit board where this lamp is connected re-solder all the components in this lamp. There is also an individual screen adjustment for the lamps it is located at the front panel and labeled RGB screen...try this first and let me know how it goes..

TV WONT COME ON AND THE LIGHT KEEPS FLASHIN RED AN GREEN ON THE STANDBY BUTTON

  1. If your Sony Wega will not turn on, the front green light blinks, you hear a faint whirring sound and the green light turns red and flashes, it probably means the lamp inside the set is no longer working. If you noticed the screen beginning to dim in the preceding days or weeks, this most likely is the cause.

  2. If the green light flashes and the picture comes on momentarily but then goes off, and the green button flashes until the set restarts, then the seal around the lamp mount is loose and needs to be refitted.

  3. If the picture on your Grand Wega cuts in and out and the green standby light flashes, both of the set's STKs need to be replaced. STKs are small chips on your television's circuit boards and are identifiable by their labels. The specific STKs used in your Grand Wega TV will be identifiable by the numbered labels on top of the STKs.

  4. When you plug in your Sony Wega and hear a loud popping sound, it's probably caused by a defect in the high-voltage circuit. Let the professionals take care of this one.

  5. If, after turning on your Sony Wega, you can hear your set but the screen is black, you most likely need to replace your projection lamp.

Darker screen after replacing a samsung dlp lamp

DID YOU USE THE FOLLOWING LAMP
BP96-00826A (PHILIPS WRITTEN ON THE LAMP)? ALSO PLEASE CHECK THAT THE LAMP IS COMPLETELY SEATED OR IT WILL RESULT IN BRIGHTNESS ISSUES. THERE WAS ONE THAT I REPLACED THE LAMP IN AND I NOTICED THAT THE DIAL OPENING ON THE LAMP HOUSING WAS A BIT SMALL AND WOULD NOT ALLOW THE COMPLETE SEATING OF THE LAMP AND I HAD A DARK PICTURE AS A RESULT. I USED MY CORDLESS DRILL WITH THE PHILIPS HEAD STILL ATTACHED AND REAMED THE HOLE LARGER AND IT SOLVED THE PROBLEM.
HOPE THIS HELPS.

Red light flashing 4 times, tv turns its self off

Start by removing and inspecting the bulb. The filament you're looking for is encased in the glass tube in the center of the lamp itself. Kindof difficult to see unless you're at the right angle. 9 times out of 10 that solves the problem. If not move on to the ballast, the small circuit board directly underneath the lamp housing.

The green fades in and out

Its most likely caused by a bad solder joint on the Green CRT dive board which is located on the bootom of the green CRT ( Center CRT) which you can accesss by removing the front speaker panel then the small access pane behind the speaker panel. If the solder appears good the green CRT itself is most likely defective.

SD-643HD5 64 in. Rear Projection TV

I had the same problem which was caused by a bad solder connection on my Green CRT driver board. The fix isn't too difficult if you've had some soldering experience.

1) Determine which CRT is going out (Reg, Green, or Blue). Looking at your convergence adjustment screen will help.
2) Unplug TV
3) Remove the front panel
4) Locate the driver board attached to bottom of the bad CRT.
5) Locate the two large heatsinks on the driver board, each has a transistor attached to it.
6) Touch-up the three solder connections on each transistor. Adding some new solder helps.

Blue crt assmbly maybe?

its very possible that the blue CRT is horting the set out. Heres how you can test it. Remove the speaker grille and access panel behind the grille and you will see the crts. remove the blue crt circuit board from the end of the blue crt and make sure it isnt touching anything then try powering up the set if it doesnt shut down then you have found the problem and you will need a new crt. or you can switch the blue circuit with the green and try it iwth the blue on green and the green on the blue then if the screen turns green before shutting down you will know that its a problem in the blue drive circuit and not the crt. lety me know if you need further assistance.
