Touch screen has stopped working and phone sometimes locks up :(

That happened to me and my htc touch hd the other day. I tuned it off, pulled the battery out and let it dry out completely. The touch screen didn't work until a few hours later. However when water happens to an electronic device it usually will need to be replaced. Just cross your fingers and hope for the best.

How do i reboot a moterola K1 phone i got it wet but the phone works but screen is white

Water is deadly to cell phones (except for a few models made to be waterproof.). Usually they won't work at all after they have water damage. And usually water damage is considered to be the user's fault, so it is not covered under warranties or insurance ---but you can check with your provider. I doubt that you will get the screen to work. However, it is possible that you can have a retail location retrieve your phone book (depends on the damage level) to transfer to a new phone. If you have backup assistance that won't be necessary.

Hate to tell you this, but you are probably in trouble at this point. A wet phone will usually short-circuit someplace. The advice is to take the battery out as soon as you see that it got wet, wait THREE DAYS, then try it. By powering up, you might've harmed the circuitry. But, you could try taking the battery out and waiting a few days before turning on again.

Can't use keypad, only the on/off button works

If your baby got a hold of it, it's likely there is water damage.
Check your battery. Most of the batteries have a sticker. depending on the brand it will be red or smudgy purple or something else if it was wet - no way to tell if i dont know what brand you have.
you can go to your local store and get them to plug in their cell brite and download the numbers to a new phone. If the phone will stay on for a few minutes and is on the home screen, they will be able to do this.

Got Wet = Blank Screen

I helped a friend with a similar problem using the solution below, so I am sure it will work unless your phone has shorted out:
  • Remove the battery from the phone immediately -- preferably right after it had gotten wet.

  • Spray the phone liberally through the keypad and inside the battery compartment with a good brand of electronic cleaner such as "CRC QD Electronic Cleaner Quick Drying Formula". It is important for the cleaner to get into the phone to wash out any water and mineral residues as they can cause a short when you put the batteries back into the phone.

  • Allow it to drain and dry, or better, blow dry it with hairdryer set on cold, or turn upside down on your dashboard for a few hours. Do NOT put the batteries back in the phone while it is drying.

  • When your phone is completely dry, put battery back in and turn it on. If it does not come on, put it on the charger. You should see the indicator come on showing "Charging".

  • After a few minutes to a half an hour, try turning your phone on. It should work if nothing has shorted.

Water damage and no signal

try this :
This works on most mini electronic devices like cellular phones and degital cameras etc .

it sounds crazy .

Remove the back (or Cover ) of the phone( or Camera ), battery, and SIM if your phone ( or Device ) uses one , DIRECTLY

Then, with a q-tip (or something similar), dab the connection points (shiny, goldish) on the battery, SIM, and phone. This should aid in drying.

Finally, place all contents in a bag of uncooked rice (separately, do not put back together just yet). it sounds crazy , but it draws the moisture out.

It normally is working after just 7-8 hours, but I would wait 12 hours or even 24 hours before attempting to use (just to be sure).

beware the water damage, despite being dry now, will void any warranties. Also, the phone's hardware is now weakened and if you drop it, the green mother board and circuitry could shatter - so be more careful.

This does work on electronic devices aside from phones as well. Simply tailor it to your device. If you do not have a SIM (Verizon phones, cameras, all others), remove only the battery. If you have an iPhone/iPod or GPS and cannot remove the battery, simply make sure it is all the way off, then put it in the rice bag. All electronic devices react the same to the rice trick.

Water damage

The phone is most likely done for, but if you have a torx5 driver you can take the upper assembly apart and clean up and reseat the side keys. What's going on is that the side key for some reason is staying pressed which makes all other keys inoperable.
