My laptop went into hiberation it wont come out of it im new to lap tops my son gave it to me

Hello.

If your laptop is connected to a power surge protector / power strip, flip the switch on the strip, Off then On.

If still a problem with your laptop, hold the laptop's power button for 10 seconds then power up, again.

Hope this helps.

If your display is not coming then try the below steps to resolve it.
  1. Unplug your system to avoid power shocks
  2. Open the cabinet and look for RAM on the mother board.
  3. Take that RAM out of the slot and clean it with "IP".This is a type of chemical and let it dry.If you are not having IP then clean it with an ordinary "Eraser"
  4. Then put it in the slot very carefully.
  5. Plug the power and see that display is there or not ,if not then again turn off the power and take the RAM out
  6. Put it in the other slot and try again.
  7. If you are successful then close the cabinet.
  8. If you are not getting display then try changing Ram.
  9. Also check the on board video card.
Thanks
Have a great day

remove power cable, battery and all cables attached to ur laptop, then press the power on button for 10 seconds after that attach battery, whatever cables that you had disconnected, and switch on again if doesn't give display and beeps for 3 to 5 times then thats minor or may be ram problem, or if it beeps for 7 times then thats motherboard problem, take ur laptop service centre.

Icons dissappear after approximatley 3 seconds

sounds like to me you just have adware. you will have to backup your data that you want to save and do a complete restoration on you computer. let it format the drive and reload a fresh complete file structure. you should be fine after that..

Computer monitor wont stay on

LMAO it sounds like it is going into power-saving mode because there is (or it -thinks- there is) no signal. Has it always done this? Try punching up the controls when you turn it on and changing its behavior through those menus. Doublecheck the monitor's connection to the computer. Alternately, if it is connected and a display is coming up for those 10 seconds; perhaps just going into sleep mode, with the power LED changing appropriately; you can look up the exact model, and find schematics and previously solved instances of your case.
Even if you can't find those, you could read through some introductory electronic circuit books (and the internals of the monitor...unplug and read the books' safety bits first) and determine what went bad and how to replace that component.
