Checked batterry. if ok, checked charging circuit. power supply circuits might have shorts.

This is unfortunately a common problem with HP .....If you do a search on google you will find numerous questions similar to yours,

Try to remove the Battery and the power cord,
Shut down the computer,
Press the power button for 10 second,
Reconnect the battery and power cord
Reopen your computer
And see if hopefully this worked

Viewsonic monitor Lock and Unlock instructions

OSD and Power Lock Settings
OSD Lock: Press and hold [1] and the up arrow UP for 10 seconds. If any buttons are

Vostro 1400 wont turn on. When press POWER first and then 5th blue LED turns on after seconds 5th and then first blue LED turns off.

drain the power from the laptop by disconnecting all sources of power including disconnecting the battery. Then press and hold the power button for 10 to 20 seconds. Then plug your power adapter in and power up the laptop.

How is to enter dfu mode

Press power button for 5 seconds, then, without releasing power button, press home button for 10 seconds. After that release only the power button, leaving home pressed, for 15 seconds. That should do it.

Laptop wont turn on

try pressing the power on button for like 10 seconds. it should really turn off the notebook. wait like 30 seconds, then turn it on normally. it should start.

if you have the notebook connected to an external display, disconnect the external display first.

Icons dissappear after approximatley 3 seconds

sounds like to me you just have adware. you will have to backup your data that you want to save and do a complete restoration on you computer. let it format the drive and reload a fresh complete file structure. you should be fine after that..

Hp notebook t2050 display problem in battary use.

you need to change the setting in your power manager, as your laptop is trying to conserve power, you can change the settings, however you may affect your battery life.
