On many CD/DVD drives, there is a small hole somewhere on the front of the drive where you can stick a skinny non-metallic object (like a toothpick) to "reset" the drive and cause it to eject the tray. Sometimes this hole is on the right side and sometimes on the left, but it should be easy to spot.

If your drive does not have a reset button, you'll have to either remove the drive from the computer and take the disc out manually, or take it to a computer repair shop and have them do it.

Open "My Computer".

Right-mouse-click on the icon for the CD/DVD drive. Choose EJECT.

If it does not, then you have a mechanical problem with the drive.
Spend $40 to replace it.

How do eject disc from my mac os x

Every Mac that has an optical drive has an eject key on the keyboard. Pressing the eject key will eject a CD or DVD.

The eject key has this icon on it: ?

You can also right-click on the disk icon, then choose "Eject" from the pop-up menu.

You can also click once on the disk icon, then choose "Eject" from the File menu.

You can also drag the icon to the Trash icon in the dock.

The eject key will only eject CDs and DVDs, but all of the other methods described above will also unmount other media types, like a hard drive or flash drive connected via USB, FireWire, or Thunderbolt.

I want to eject cd from cd rom apple system imac

To eject a CD/DVD that is not recognized by your computer, boot up while holding down the eject button on your keyboard, and continue to hold down eject until the disk ejects.

If this does not work, hold down your mouse button while booting up in the same way.

If neither of these work, open Terminal and type in the following:

drutil tray eject

If your disc does still not eject, your optical drive likely needs repair.

If not ejecting, consult your Alpine dealer.

Disc Tray Will Not Eject

Just next to the eject button on the actual recorder there should be a tiny pinhole.  If you use a small paperclip and insert it, then push, you should be able to manually eject the DVD.  Hope this helps!
