I have a mitsubishi dlp 915p020010 and when i turn it on the green light gomeson to indicate that i have turned the tv on but i dont get a picture or sound then about 30 seconds later the light turnns red indicating lamp. and i have already replaced the lamp

I have a Mitsubishi WD73642 model which I'm having a problem with it turning off. When power is turned on the status light flashes green and appears to be powering up. Then u hear sound. Picture comes on light turns sold green then within a minute the El TV will just turn off no other dianososis lights. TV is not located too close to the Wall. Any ideas why?

the circut that detects the bulb has been also failing in these sets
and the conversion chip that controls the picture , and the transformers are not putting out the full power they are supposed to.
this set will need to be tested to determine the exact cause or causes

Have you activated the self check this set has that will indicate what error was picked up?

when you turn it off your light blinks because your internal fans are still spinning allowing the inside of the chassis to cool off, hence the reason you dont watch a DLP TV and then unplug it. DLP's are JUNK

you have mention that after 10-15 seconds T.V starts up, will you give total description of the T.V within that 10-15 seconds?

the dlp will most likely need a qualified mits repair center to take over for you. repairing that set is pretty involved. and the parts you would need are not available to the public.
on your 48" CRT projection check the DM module for 4 vented 1000mf 16v capacitors. replacement should get you tv working great

Check for 12-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 4 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check for an open F9A09 on the Power PCB, if it is open replace F9A09 part # 283P127060 and the Light Engine part # 939P977010 5. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on but does not go back to 0-volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010 6. Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if low or missing check C9A37 and C9A38 both 3300 UFD 10 V part # 181P732040 on the Power PCB part # 930B929001
