Check the fan capacitor. It will cause it to do what you describe. Make sure the fan turns freely and isn't in a bind.

The AC makes a humming sound when starting the fan. If I spin it by hand it runs. Model 620315.321 serial 90716722.

The humming sound is the motor trying to start, if you turn it by hand, usually they will run. it sounds like the motor for fan needs cleaning and oiling. God-Bless ya all!

Does the computer try to start and a second later shut down? Check the power cord, check the AC outlet? Is it on a UPS? Try AC outlet? Can you get to BIOS or Boot Menu? ETC.

Washer pumps but half the time it won't spin unless you give the basket a little push. I use a small magnet to keep the lid relay closed. Once I give the basket a little push, the washer starts to...

Quite likely the spin motor is a capacitor start type motor and has a capacitor to start it (by placing a winding slightly out of phase with the rest of the motor in turn encouraging the movement of the motor). When it reaches about 200 RPM the capacitor is disconnected and runs without it.
Maybe the start capacitor is faulty or the internal switch/electronic control is faulty?

Washer won't spin unless I give the belt a little push to get it to start moving. The belt looks warn and has a small crack in it. Is the belt the only problem or is there something else I need to...

Hello,

Sounds to me that the belt defiently needs to be replaced since it is cracked and streched.
Hate to tell ya wait and see but replace the belt for sure and see what happens, but to check a little further if the pulley that tightens the belt(idler pulley) is not missing a chunk of plastic and it spins free when flung with your finger i would say its ok, also you can check the spring on idler pulley by pushing it in and as long as it returns to where it was quickly its ok and just the belt is needed

Hope this helps and if it does please give me 4 thumbs up

Water would not drain and was slow to spin

Hi Rick. Now on the FISHER@PAYKEL machines they will not spin properly unless all the water is out of your machine. Please look underneath the machine for me and you should see the pump which has a fan attached to it .It is located to the front right. Now turn the fan clockwise and anticlockwise a few times to loosen the pump as it may be jammed. The fan should freely. To look under the machine 1st you must bail some of the water out by hand with a small bucket or pot, enough to lean the machine back so you can look under the machine without it leaking everywhere. Now once the fan turns freely put it back on its feet and select a spin cycle and push the start button.Hopefully the machine will start to drain and spin. Please reply back on how you got on or if the machine still does not drain.

Exterior fan doesn't spin unless lightly pushed. Is there such a thing as a 'fan clutch' that may cause such a problem? How is this problem repaired?

If it spins up to speed with a little help from your hand or whatever, then my guess is that a fan start capacitor is faulty. It gives fan a voltage surge/spike to get it up to speed from off.

Outside compressor fan won't spin without a nudge

Hi,

either you can lubricate it by spraying wd40 on the bushings. Although usually fan motors are permanently lubricated there are still dust particles that get through and cause it not to spin.
