Cannot load driver for lexmark 1200 series because a message appears saying no valid inf file for this operating system.

hello for all those with inf problems ,this is a partial fix some idears really though i got me printer working with thease idears i got off of a posting on the net tryed following instructions and got lost so made up me own idears

first thing we need to look for is usbprinter file or usbinstaller file mine was the printer file do a serch
once located its inf file set up . you could do worse than stick it in your printer folder drivers folder. right the file aint no good without the file mechanisam wich is usb systems file do a serch for this as well once located stick it in with the drivers folder with your inf file

my files were found in i386 and service package folder

try to install your printer you should see things start to happen its all a bit hit and miss

i then had the idear of sticking my inf usbfile in the inf folder but i found my computer had already done it for me

if you then get unknown monitor error 1722

the next thing we need to look at is controll panale and then services the three things your looking for hear is printerspooler restart it
rsp restart it and the dreeded invashion of the printer snatchers lexbec its nasty but i do not think your gona get your printer going without it

then though some of you might not be able to do this i used my lexmark instalation disk though you might be able to get your driver file from www.lexmark

insert disk make sure printer is not attached to com/laptop until disk has done its thing then when you see a picture of a computer thats the time to plug in your printer hopfully when all is done your computer will ask you to restart thats a yes
