Tip & How-To about Cell Phones

My mobile phone is locked! What are PIN and PUK codes?

When you purchase a SIM card you get a receipt on witch, depending on what company it is bought from, you will get a set of either one or two, 4 digit PIN and 13 digit PUK codes. If you put in wrong PIN code three times in a row then the SIM card will be locked "temporarily" and you will need to put in a PUK code to change the PIN code and unlock the SIM. If you enter the PUK code wrongly 10 times in a row your SIM card will be locked "Permanently" and has to be exchanged, In other words "Be more careful with PUK code!". Some companies do keep track of these codes some don't, If you have lost that piece of paper with codes on, you should contact your service/phone provider, if it is monthly paid contract you will most likely be able to get the PUK code from them if they don't have the code or your SIM card is " Prepaid" then they may charge you about 10-20 bucks to send you a new SIM card and a new set of codes.

Returning an item

well Hello Susan:

depends on where you bought the item from. If you still have the receipt of the item and it has not been more than 15 days should be able to return the item back get the full price back....back on your card or cash if you paid it in cash. Now like i said it all depends on where you bought it, some places might say 30 days from date of purchase... but you have to have the receipt but if not they might give you in store credit... but always call the place where you bought it to verify it to make sure. you also make sure you have the boxes or package it came in too to give back to them of the item. ooooh yes some places might even charge you for restocking fee for the item return too. so that is why said to call company or business what is there return policy. i hope this helps you. :)

Olympus FE 3010 screen is cracked :(

If you bought it online, your credit card company would have a record of the purchase. Also, the company you bought it from should have a record of the purchase. Speak to their customer service representative. If you received e-mail confirmation of the purchase, you might still have it if you save e-mails.
