Question about AquaVac Tigershark Plus Robotic Automatic In Ground Pool Cleaner

1 Answer

When we lift the Tigershark out of the pool after it has finished its cycle it lets go of all the debris it has picked up. We can't find anything in the manuals to help us. It is very frustrating as it does a good job until we try and take it out of the pool. HELP!!!

With the cleaner out of the pool flip it upside down and remove the bottom lid. Inspect the outer case along the seam where the dark and light color plastics meet. If you find cracks patch them with a two-part epoxy made to repair plastics.

You will also want to inspect the outer case return flaps that are directly behind the brushes. Those flaps can come loose or fall out and will let debris out of the unit.

Check the flaps within the bottom lid itself to be sure they are still installed and functioning properly. A twig of leaf can wedge into the hinge and block the flap from closing allowing debris out of the bag.

Finally, inspect the bag for any holes or wear that could allow debris to escape.

One or more of these issues should be the cause and once corrected your cleaner should operate as it should.

My Nitro cleaner pump/fan motor jerks every 3-4 seconds and the fan turns a few degrees. Nothing more happens. What is wrong?

The fan is an indicator of the main drive if the fan is debris-free...then you've got a motor problem. Since you can't get replacement parts, you'll have to replace the main motor unit...around $200 with shipping. I've replaced mine, it's a relatively simple process for the DIY guy...and it extends the life of your nitro significantly. If you get three seasons out of your motor, you are doing good...anything more is lucky, anything less means you probably mistreated the little leaving it in the pool non-stop, or allowing it to run out of the pool which will quickly end the main drive motor life.

Tigershark comes out of the water too far

You need to reduce the flow through the impeller - there should be a baffle (something in plastic, round, that will be installed at the top of the shark) in the box that it came in.

Why does the low voltage breaker kick off every time in turn the vacuum on?

Check to see if the ENTIRE suction system is free of debris. Empty your vacuum bag. Ensure that the brushes/wheels are moving and not jammed. Check for proper voltage to the system. If all of these items are ok, then it needs to be serviced.

My robo kleen moves around the pool but has no suction so it won't pick up any debris

i had that problem, past year
open the motor check for rust stains on the round magnetic surface
i used a steel or copper brillo pad dry to sand down the surface
careful with those plastic motor screw washers to secure motor

Have power to the floating cord but tigershark will not run.

My tigershark would start working then stop 20 seconds to 20 minutes later. I found that the power switch was loosing good connection after self check cycle, I turned it on and off rapidly to hopefully clean the contact! I now disconnect and restart by pulling the power cord. I have run two cycles with no problem> I will replace the switch when I get a chance.

Good Luck
