Question about Acer TravelMate 2300 Notebook
Have a Acer TravelMate 2300 laptop, went to bed was working fine, started next morning and total black screen, can hear fan going when the power comes on and front lights. Was told to remove battery and hold down power button for 60 secs (to release built up power) I did this and then replaced battery and powered back on.......nothing :-( Someone else suggested lamp had gone............any thoughts would be appreciated, son just gave me his old laptop and swears I broke it :-(
If your good with computer or know some one that is, sugggest you to remove the LCD rim, and clean the ribbon filament that is connected to the monitor. Sometimes this filament get's dirty and just need to be clean from a cotton swab.
Another solution is for you to plug in a monitor to the laptop.
