Turn off the power and spin the fan by hand to make sure it turns freely. Next check the capacitor. You can do that with a multimeter with the capacitor check function or a heating and air supply can check it for you. Also set the thermostat to make the air come on and check for power on the terminals the fan connects to on the circuit board. If there is no power there then the board is probably bad. You can also ohm the fan windings to make sure they are good.

What can cause air conditioner fan to not work?

split systems
the inside fan works all the time when on so that the room air is circulated past the thermostat
the outside fan only works when the compressor is working to cool the condenser coils
with the inside fan not working it indicates a power board failure , power failure or control panel problem
if it is a window (box ) ac then it will be the power board problem
in either case it is a job for a ac technician as it could be just a start/run capacitor fault.

My cannon machine shows error 805 when i start the machine pls solve my problem

the internal fan is not working and that is the code for it. there is a fan inside with 3-4 wire on it one wire on the fan tells the machine that it is working if the fan is working then the fan has a fault on this part of the motor it can wear out as it is in contact with the fan inside. also check the wires to the plug sometimes if it gets banged about it can come loose, fan located in the main Left Door. hope fully it is just this and not the pcm board at fault as that can mean that there is a real problem could be the board power board or the switches for the draws. hope this helps you.

Most likely the=> 5303918476 Defrost Control Board will need to be replaced. This board can be found inside the control panel inside the fresh food compartment. Unplug power and lets examine the board. Here is another source for the board 5303918476 Defrost Control Board Here is a photo of the inside of the control panel HERE and item location 23 is that board. I am here should you have questions, Sea Breeze
Soemtimes the defrost control board will show signs of failure with burn marks and heat damage but not always. It is likely this board is the problem and in some cases the start relay and run capacitor can cause these same symptons.

Inside blower wont run

Sounds like you need a new board. Their are people out there that will replace the fan relay on these boards, but I have always just replaced the whole board with a new one. These boards can range from around $50 to $300 depending on which board it is. The way we always double check these boards are exactly the same way you have done it, only we use the 120v from the units transformer and bypass the board, if your fan comes on, your board is not sending the power through to the terminals. It would be different if nothing else on your system was working too. I hope this helps and good luck!

My ruud sillouette a/c system inside blower does not run even on fan only. The outside unit works. The low voltage board is getting the 38vac power across the red and ground. The blower motor will work...

You have an meter check for power between R and G if there is no power, than the stat is calling for the fan and the fan relay on the board should be closed. Use your meter and with one lead to ground follow the motor lead, back until you find where it is stopped, that would be the problem.

My fan and light do not work and I was told that the relay needs to be replaced. Is that true and if so, where can I pruchase one?

If neither the fan nor the light work, check that there is power to the fan unit first. If it is remote controlled and there is power to the unit, any relays would be on a PC board inside the fan and will not easily be replaced.

Hi, I ahve a Rheem Classic Plus Series SUper Quiet 80 Unit and no air is blowing thru the vents but the inside/outside units kick on? can you help?

Is the inside fan running? If it is then check your air filter. If it isn't, turn off power to the inside unit and see if the fan turns freely by hand. Next check the capacitor for the indoor fan. Does the fan on this unit connect to a circuit board? Set the thermostat to make the air come on and check for power where the fast speed wire connects to the circuit board and neutral. If it's not there, the circuit board is probably bad. You can look at the back side of the board to see if any traces are burnt off. Let me know what you find.

My enermax power pack sparked out of the fan in the back and now my computer wont turn on. Not sure if it's the power pack or the board is fried... Any help would be appreciated thanks =)

if it sparked then something inside the power supply malfunctioned and that is the reason it wont work. You will need to replace it. Unlikely that it fried your board in the process. You can test this by swapping the power supply with one that you know works.

My unit has power but he inside fan and compressor is not working

Sounds like you need to replace the main control board . Pt # WR55X10656 . If it was only the compressor , you could remove the board and rework a solder connection . But , the fan also is controled by the board ( shorted resistor ) , so replaceing the board would be the best thing to do .

Compaq Presario V3224TU, damaged from electricity problem

The most likely problem that you are experiencing is is the power supply has failed. The best way of checking it is with a voltage meter and verifying that the output at the small connector matches or is slightly above what is listed on the power supply block. Usually it is a good sign that the power LED is lit on the power block but it does not always mean that it is working!

Replacing the power board inside the notebook /laptop is not something most users can do so it would then be advisable if the power supply does check out ok to bring it to a repair shop for repair.

Good Luck!
