My system light is blinking orange on my honeywell mini zone can you tell me what that means?

Chances are it's a bad daamper. You can bypass any tstat by wiring red green and yellow together. Bypass the tstat, if still blinking you'll know it's the damper. You can then swap that damper to another zone and be sure the new zone then starts flashing.

Blinking amber light indicates a shorted or tripped damper motor circuit. I would check to see if there's power to the damper motor if there is check to see if damper is jammed and not allowing full motion of damper. If there isn't find out why and restore it. Then test zone for proper and full motion.

Check to make sure your compressor is running fir the zone in question. DAT is a discharge air temperature reading that the unit uses to monitor itself. If you're sure you never had one, check the parameters and programming of your unit to make sure something didn't glitch and enable your DAT sensor

check the board for 24 v.a.c. or whatever voltage is used to supply this board,normally its 24v.a.c. from a small transformer,if this transformer burns open the thermostat will not operate

They will work, most zone controls only require the use of 1H/1C thermostats, the system stages and functions are controlled by the board itself.
