FRT125GW warm fridge problem

Hello jumptrout51 - Generally speaking, if the compressor is on then the freezer fan should be on as well. Note that it does not indicate a failed fan motor. The fan motor receives power from the temperature thermostat. Therefore, at this point, I would personally recommend connecting with an experienced technician to determine the underlying cause.

Fridge warm, freezer has frost on back panel & is defrosting, fans work, just changed defrost thermostat, no air is moving from freezer side to fridge side, drain pan under fridge is dry

this fan needs to run when the compressor runs, check fan blade for being jammed by ice if you have this much ice on back wall as ice will stall motor,if no fan there will be no cool air to refrige compartment also the defrost drain tray will fill with water then freeze over which in turn floods the freezer floor and refrige compartments cause it cannot drain to the pan in the bottom

Whirpool wgi fridge freezer, fridge not cooling?

Most frideges get all their cooling from the freezer. There will be a fan and duct in the back of the freezer that pushes cold air down into the fridge. If the duct is blocked with ice or the fan motor has quit. Your freezer will work fine but the fridge will barely cool at all. Check that the fan runs when the compressor is running, ( turn both temp knobs to the highest cooling and leave door open until comp. comes on). If the fan runs your duct is plugged. If not you need a new " Freezer Fan Motor". Most are simple to replace and cost around $100.00.

Top section of fridge and top part of freezer are cool to warm, bottom part of both fridge and freezer are freezing.

Hi, Check and see if the evaporator fan motor is running in the freezer section. If it is not running while the compressor is running, you will need to change it. Also check and see if there is any frost building up on the rear freezer wall. If there is frost, you will need to replace 1 of 3 defrost parts. let me know if it is a defrost issue and I can instruct you on testing the parts.

Please let me know if I can assist you further.

behind the back panel that you pulled off is where the compressor is. on the left side of the compressor is where the relay/overload is plugged in. its gone bad. if you touch the compressor it will either be really really hot or room temp. unplug it let the compressor cool and replace the relay/overload to fix your problem

Cold freezer warm fridge.

That sound was the evaporator fan motor in the freezer. This circulates the cold air from the freezer into the fresh food section. If this is not running you need to check for power to it. If the fan has power to it but not running, replace it. It should be located behind freezers back wall inside of freezer near top.
