SOURCE: ac not blowing cold after outside temp reaches 98 degrees

Sounds like you have dirty condenser coils. Remove the upper shroud and check the condenser for clean. Take a water hose and gently spray out the coils paying special attention not to bend the coils over with too much pressure. This will allow more air movement through the coils and give you better cooling efficiency.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

SOURCE: temp sensor

Look for little probe sticking out into return air duct area, beside controls. Usually visible when you take filters off. About 2-3" long and 3/16" in diameter, attached to small brass tube.

SOURCE: the compressor will not shut off when the temp

This is very much relay problem. The olden days relay get stuck due to residual magnetism. Or spring would have snapped. Or contacts would have bonded permanently. Check these or replace the relay totally.

Hi,
Even though you can make the t-stat work manually, I feel that it is your problem...it will kick on and off when moved with force but not by the bulb...that would be where I would start...there really isn't anything else it could be...

Why doesn't the new cooling fan motor work?

Did you check voltage and ground at the fan connector? Check applicable fuses. Can you check applicable trouble codes? Will the fan turn on, if you turn on the ac?

Some fans may not turn on, till the temp reaches around 220 degrees F, that excludes the ac.

There several issues that could cause the fan not run, another issue could be the coolant temp sensor. Does your temp gage work ok?

Why is My 04 PT Criuser running hot and there is coolant in the radiator ?

check your cooling fans make sure they are working, to do this start your engine and turn on the ac the cooling fans should be running, if it does the next thing to check is the temp sensors, to do this turn off the ac, while the engine is running keep an eye on your temp gauge if the dial is going up above normal or at the point where you say the engine is running hot check if the cooling fans are running,
1) if not running, cooling fan sensor is not working, replace
2)if running, thermostat is shut, the thermostat regulates the flow of coolant in the engine it is fully open at normal operating temp and close if coolant is cold, replace

Auto Camry 97 cooling fan is not switching on automatically, the temp gauge shows normal temp. Also both AC and cooling fan works when AC is switched on?

If the temp gauge shows normal, you would not expect the fan to be on much. It is controlled by the coolant temp sensor. If the fan will not come on when the car gets really hot, it is possible this sensor has failed.

It is normal for both AC and cooling fans to be on when you turn on AC to cool setting.

Primary cooling fan only comes on when i turn ac on

You would need a scanner and an inferred temp sensor to troubleshoot the system.
You need to know what the actual engine temp is, and what the temp sensor is telling the computer.
If and when the engine reaches 220 degrees, the engine temp sensor should be sending that data to the computer and it should ground the fan relay to activate it.
Unplugging the sensor and having the fan run tells you the sensor is connected, and there should have been a trouble code set at that time.
It is possible the coolant level is low, or something else preventing the temp sensor sending the correct data.

2007 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. I was driving and my digital dashboard reported engine hot and AC turned off. My temperature gauge read cool. What do I need to replace?

This sounds like a bad coolant temp sensor that give computer false reading, check the coolant temp sensor connector and if it is good with no bad wires to connector then replace coolant temp sensor , when the computer gets a signal from temp sensor that engine is hot it turns fans on high speed to cool radiator and displays a/c turned off , if this truck does not have electric cooling fans then they wont run just explaining what happens depending on engine and cooling set up. replace coolant temp sensor and check connector.

Out door is not working

Check for communication from indoor to out door.Check power in out door unit. If not, check the following.
Keep cool mode and temp setting minimum 3 degree less than room temp.
Check indoor unit return air sensor. Disconnect sensor from PCB and measure resistance. 8 kOhm at 30C and 13 kOhm at 20C if not replace air sensor

Check Indoor Pipe Sensor Disconnect from PCB and measure resistance. Pipe sensor = 5kOhm at 25C. If not replace pipe sensor.
Thanks and hope helpful?
