That sound like a formatter issue. Its the motherboard of the printer. You can try an NV RAM (its a reset): Turn it off and press and hold the down arrow and cancel. Then turn it on and wait for the message ''permanent storage init'' then release the keys and will get back to ready. If the issue persist the unit will need service
