Question about Televison & Video
I did a search and found not much of a difference between the two models that you mentioned, both are 40", 100Hz refresh, 1920x1080pixel, HiDef. Althouh the one without the X seems to be cheaper, is not somehow being sold anymore, and has a lot of somewhat negative feedback from their owners, my guess is that the LA40F81BDX is an improved version though when you plug the it in, notice that it will be recognized as BD still.
