I Have locked my norstar callpiolot mailbox how do i unlock

    put the wrong password in too many times and is now locked

Which model callpilot is this?
If you have the manual you should find the details there but do post it for me so I can find it out for you. how to reset it that is.

    Hello again, I beleave you have to reinitialize or reset the phone, unplug it and remove the batterys from the phone, for a while.



    after that you will loose the messages put the mailbox will return to normal operation.

    Try "0000" that is the default. You can also try "1234"
    Also, F981 allows the user to access VM from a system telephone. Feature 983 log in is 120000 (if 2 digit extension, 1020000 if 3 digit, 10020000 if 4 digit extensions)
    Select
    Mbox, enter that locked extensions mail box number, You will see
    password RESET. Select RESET. Release out. This will reset that mail
    box password to 0000. Use feature 981 on that phone and enter the new
    default password of 0000. you will then be prompted to change the
    password.
    Or else, you have to go into system administrators mailbox and reset password for that mailbox.
    Please note: The
    best course is to inform a system administrator who is experienced with
    CallPilot 100 systems as there is a chance that a mistake made while
    unlocking the mailbox could cause more issues.

Your mailbox is assigned a maximum number of incorrect password attempts.
Norstar Voice Mail records the number of incorrect attempts from the last time your mailbox was successfully accessed. Once the number has been passed you are"locked-out" Your mailbox cannot be opened again until the System Coordinator resets the password

Mail box locked tried to reset no luck


All you need to do to unlock the mailbox is to reset the password. If you're having no luck, it's because you're resetting the wrong mailbox. Make sure the mailbox you're resetting is actually assigned to the proper extension.
Usually, the reception mailbox is mailbox 100, regardless of what the actual extension number is.

We have a norstar m7310 and the mailbox is locked due to too many failed password attempts. I did log into the System administration and reset the password to that mailbox and it is still locked. How do I...


When you reset the password, it goes back to the default of "0000". When you try to log into that mailbox the next time, it will prompt you to change the password. Hope this helps!

How to Change a Mailbox Password (Administrator Only) 1. To access the voice mail system press "Feature".
2. Press "983".
3. When you see "Log:" enter "120000" for 2 digit extension numbers, enter "1020000" for 3 digit extension numbers.
4. Press "OK".
5. Press "MBOX".
6. Press "CHNG".
7. Enter the mailbox number (same as extension number) you wish to reset.
8. Press "Reset" softkey.
9. Press "Rls" to exit (orange button to the right of the number buttons).
The Default password is "0000".

First you will have to find out the extension number that is giving you issues.

How to Change a Mailbox Password

NorStar T7316E Corded Phone Problem - mailbox locked


You will need to dial into the system admin of the voicemail
Feature 983
the password is dependant on how many digits your extensions use. 1020000 for 3 digit and 10020000 for 4 digit, 120000 for 2 digit.
go through the screens

Mailboxes, modify, scroll to password and press change.
Will reset to 0000.
