    Dear Taran
Thank you so much - you have indeed justified your guru status. We followed your instructions and the problem sorted itself simply by draining it as you described. We were so thrilled with you and with ourselves! We live in rural Tasmania and we are not terribly handy, so to be able to fix it outselves, with your expert advice absolutely made our day.

    Thank you again.

Hi,

Pull the appliance out, tip it back about 45 degrees and see if water runs out of the base.

If it does, drain the base (under where the tub) completely and the anti flood should reset.

If there is an aqua stop device on your fill hose, after draining the base, turn off the water supply, disconnect the aqua stop device and allow it to depressurize. Connect it back up and try again.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

DW60CE dishwasher - E6 fault flood switch activated. Unit has not been use

DW60CE dishwasher - E6 fault flood switch activated.
After tipping the dishwasher on its side & it releasing its water from its tray, the fault cleared. I removed the bottom cover & inspected its internals for traces of a leak or evidence of leaking.
I could follow the calcium or detergent trail from the rear water duct connection near the top feeding sprayer arm, down the back of the dishwasher & into the tray. The lock nut on the duct where it enters through the inside S/S skin had become loose & simply needed to be tightened.

My dishwasher started beeping and had F1 on the display. What does this mean?

Hi
Error F1 on your fisher & paykel means an overfill condition. One of the most common causes for an overfill fault is that the dishwasher cannot pump out the dirty water due to a plugged drain hose. Check the drain hose if it is clogged. Now remove the bottom drawer from the unit to inspect the flood switch. Remove the wire harness cover on the underside of the drawer. With the bottom cover off, unclip the wire harness, fill hose, and drain hose. Then unclip the linkage at the back of the drawer and lift the drawer off the slider arms. Now' you'll be able to look at the flood switch. Note the positions of the wires on the flood switch and remove them. Then unclip the switch housing from the base panel. The switch housing contains one switch for each drawer. The switches are wired normally closed (NC) and each switch has three spade connections, so it's important to note where the wires went. Now clean the contacts and let it dry. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Display F2 maschine will not start green light flashes two times then pauses

Hello,
Normally this means the dishwasher is in flood mode. You would need to remove the lower base pan to gain access and check.

THE kid put a whole bowl of cornflakes in the dishwasher-i have removed and cleaned what I can see. THE flood sensor is still beeping at me!!! elba dw60

If you have access to a wet/dry shop vac get it! Start pouring in water and vacuum it out. If you can remove the impeller assembly in the bottom center do it. You also might want to blow ait thru the drain hose back into the dishwasher!

My oven is giving me an error of E6 F2, what does that mean

Hi,

Equipment is Whirlpool double oven RBD305PDS14 built-in. After a very stormy summer 2007, I thought a power surge may have zapped the control board. Problem initially presented on display as error & fault "E6 F2"; simply pressing "Timer Off" would usually clear this error & fault code.

However, some months later, the display would often go completely blank followed by the beep sequence "short-long-short-short-short" (Morse code: dit dah dit dit dit). No error & fault code would appear. Pressing any keypad oven control did not work at all in this condition. When power was cycled at the breaker panel, the usual "PF" with clock display did not appear.

[TURN OVEN POWER OFF AT BREAKER!!!]

After following the excellent information on "how to remove the control panel" posted in this forum, I first tested the "control panel thermal fuse" (refer to the tech sheet that should be behind the control panel once it is removed). It showed a closed circuit.

I turned my attention to the "flexible" keypad connector cable (error & fault code "E6 F2" is a keypad or keypad connector problem; again, refer to tech sheet). The control panel has a board mounted female connector with two tabs that may be gently pulled upward to release the flexible cable.

I cleaned the flexible cable contact area (it seats into the board mounted female connector) carefully with a Q tip and some isopropyl alcohol. I reinserted the flexible cable and gently pressed down on the two tabs (noted above) on the board mounted female connector. VERY GENTLY tug on the flexible cable to insure it is gripped by the connector.

After all of this monkey business, I re-mounted the control panel display panel on the oven and restored power. So far, so good. After applying power, the "PF" with clock display always appears. I am able to set the clock and press "Start". Over functions normally. The clock displays as normal and I no longer observe the problem I described above.

BTW, I noted the incoming 240V has transient suppression (no surge protection, however
