Question about JVC XL-R2010 CD Recorder

1 Answer

I have a JVC XL-R5010BK CD/CDR Multiple CD Recorder. My problem is that it won't re-record a whole disc. Instead its stuck on recording one track only. Where should I send it for repair?

The JVC agent or junk it as the cost of the reapir is more than its worth ,the labour charge just to open it and tell you the problem is enough.visit your local electrical and price a new one ?? Best one here for this is an old computer ,a windows 98 200 processor will do ,use a cd rewriter and a cd reader in the computer then put a cd in that you want copied into the reader and a blank into the rewriter ,then use MSDOS command
copy= D:/E:/*.* well something like that as i havent done one for so long as my player in the car uses a usb stick ,and this will copy any music cd with or without copyright protection.also DVDs if you use a dvd rewriter and reader .must look up that dos command again ,as i still have the old computer in the back room all set up but just havent used it except for torrent sites dont get many bugs in 98 now not that it matters as its only used for downloading

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I have connected my phillips cdr785 recorder the proper way to record from an external source and I get the message "start source" on the cdr side when trying to record. And it never starts...

If you're recording an analog source the recorder won't automatically start. You have to start it in sync with the playback.

If you're trying a synchronized digital recording...

Page 28 of the manual says

Start playback on the selected source.

The CD recorder starts to record simultaneously and recording in progress is shown. The remaining recording time left of the CDR(W) is displayed.

Note: If you start playback on the selected source within a track, recording starts at the beginning of the next track or after 2.7 seconds of silence in analogue recordings.

I have a Phillips CDR 775 2 -disc cd recorder and my track time is automatically set to 20 seconds. How do I increase this time per track? Also, I cannot seem to get the auto track to work when...

It's all in the manual...

20 seconds is the amount of digital 'silence' the machine will let pass during recording before it marks a new track. t will Pause and wait one minute for a digital signal to resume. (Page 21)

On digital copying it will automatically increment track numbers as the source advances.

For analog sources you should switch Auto Track to OFF and manually press Track as applicable. (Page 28)

Let's start with an assumption... you're using ReWriteable discs.

What specific message do you get when you try to unfinalize it?

When finishing a recording, what does it display instead of "update" when you stop?

Problem with Finalizing Disc

When you insert the disc what does the recorder display after it examines it (Reading TOC)? - CDR, TOC, CDR-W, NO TOC?

It should know the disc is not finalized and let you either record more on it or finalize it.

If not, and you need to recover the 4 tracks try loading the disc on a DVD player. My old Pioneer will read unfinalized CDR-A's so I can digitally copy what's on them back to another CDR-A.

Not much to go on here. Are you using CDR-Music or Audio blank discs? That is all it will record on.
