Hi,

First, make sure you're actually in the music library listing, and not in a particular playlist.

Then, if you're in Windows, make sure you're hitting the "delete" key and not the "backspace" key.
Your other option is to right click on the item you want to delete, then select "Delete" from the list of options.

If you're on a Mac, you'll need to hit the function key (fn) at the same time as the "delete" key.
Or, you can press Ctrl while clicking the mouse on the song you want to delete, then select "delete."

Let me know if these options don't work for you!

Cyclic redundancy error when copying backed up files into Itunes

Files with cyclic redundancy errors means these files are corrupted and cannot be copied. Since you cannot copy these files from your faulty hard disk again then these songs are lost and you need to download them again.

How do I delete duplicate songs on my Nano 4gb Ipod? How do I adjust the volume?

Using iTunes' "Show Duplicate Items" feature, you can locate and manually remove duplicate songs on your iTunes music library. Once the library is cleaned, you need only sync iTunes with your iPod to remove duplicates from your device as well. This guide takes iTunes 12 to remove song duplicates.
delete-duplicate-oxaxc0rwhkhzilrwacqreyis-1-0.jpg
  1. In iTunes, click "View > Show Duplicate Items" in Music module;
  2. Compare the listed song duplicates upon artist, album, date added, genre, play count, size, bit rate, and more to determine which item to keep and which item to remove;
  3. Hold the "Ctrl" key and click each duplicate you wish to delete.
  4. Connect your iPhone 6 to PC, click your iPhone from the device list, hit "Music" and select "Sync" to sync your library using your existing sync settings.
By doing this, you could delete duplicate songs on iPod from your iTunes. But it will eat a lot time of you. To save your time, let's come to the 2nd method - using 3rd-party iTunes cleaner program.

I want remove songs from my ipod touch 8g but the manual did not say

The following describes how to delete data from your iPod touch. With the iPod touch connected to your computer, select it in the iTunes sidebar, then click its disclosure triangle to show the contents. Select a content area, such as Music or Movies, then select the items you want to remove. Once the item is selected press the Delete key on the keyboard. Remember removing items from the iPod doesn't delete it from your iTunes library.

I hope that information above has helped is some way.

How do I delete content

The following information has been pulled directly form the iPod Touch manual.

Remove items from iPod touch: With iPod touch connected to your computer, select iPod touch in the iTunes sidebar, and click its disclosure triangle to show contents. Select a content area, such as Music or Movies, then select the items you want to delete and press the Delete key on the keyboard.
Removing an item from iPod touch doesn’t delete it from your iTunes library.

You can find the manual located at the following URL. I found the information you requested in chapter 4.

ITunes stopped working.

Search for a folder called iTunes Library - if you find it, click directly on the file inside this folder called iTunes Library.
If you find more than one, select the one you prefer and later you should be able to delete the others ..
If you open iTunes by clicking on the library, instead of just opening iTunes, it should set the library for you in the iTunes Preferences and it "should" stay that way ... just to be sure, close iTunes and then reopen the normal way, just by clicking on the program ... see what happens ...
Be careful not to delete any "extra" libraries that contain music that is not in the library you select - ideally you should have only one library with all the music, videos, etc, in it ...
If this doesn't work, go to Preferences in iTunes and look at the "advanced" tab - look at what it says for iTunes media folder location - make sure this is where your library is ...
This process can be a bit complicated, particularly if you have more than one library, so it's important to find the one library you want to keep, make sure all the music and other things are in it (copy everything in if you have to) and delete any additional libraries ...
Let us know what happens, how it works out. If you have more questions come back!
Once you get it set correctly, don't move your iTunes library if you don't have to, because it is a little confusing to get iTunes to show all your music correctly again ... if you have to, search on Google for "how to move iTunes Library" for help before you do it!

Itunes file twice the size as library

when you add music to your itunes library, it copies them to the itunes music folder for itunes to manage it or itunes has every song twice in its library, to check whether itunes has not copied your music twice, view your music in LIST VIEW in itunes and if you see some songs has been copied twice delete on of them.
You can also delete the songs on your music folder to save disk space or you can leave them if you use another music player other than itunes.
But I think you should delete the files in your music folder.

Can't delete from itunes

Under the itunes help library it says to select the item and then press the delete key. "when you delete an item from your library (remove it from the iTunes window) you are asked whether to keep it on your hard disk (of wherever it is stored) or delete it from your computer." it also states that you might not be able to remove songs from Smart Playlist that has "live updating" turned on, because the playlist is continually updated. I hope this helps.
