I HAVE A CRAFTSMAN 10 INCH BAND SAW MODEL NO 351.214000 I BROKE THE BLADE, AND GOT THE PROPER SIZE 70 1/2 3/8 I CAN'T KEEP THE BLADE ON THE BOTTOM PULLY...... IF THE BLADE IS LOOSE, IT WILL STAY IN THE MIDDLE,BUT WHEN I PUT THE PROPER TENSION AND ADJUST THE TRACKING IT COMES OFF THE PULLY FORWARD. IT SEEMS THAT THE BOTTOM PULLY NEEDS TRACKING TOO, BUT I DON'T THINK THERE'S AN ADJUSTMENT FOR THE BOTTOM PULLY. WHAT'S THE PROBLEM????

SOURCE: Porta Band saw blade jumps off

I had this problem on a used model 725 that I bought. Apparently the rubber tires on the drive wheels develop a bit of a memory after sitting for a while with tension on the blade. I tried cleaning the tires to no avail. Then I removed both tires, flipped them over and re-installed. Still not fixed. Then I put only one back to the original position and the problem was solved. Other than the frustration of trying several times, I was out nothing and I got quite proficient at taking the blade in and out. The saw has worked fine ever since. I hope this simple (and free) solution works for you.

SOURCE: the chain adjuster screw is broken

If the housing itself is broken you will probably be better off buying a new or used say. As that part would be very expensive and you will still have a used saw.

SOURCE: electric chain saw chain adjustment. How loose should it be?

the chain should not be sagging from bottom of bar.when you tighten the chain push the nose of saw up so that all of the slack is out of the chain.chain should snap back in the bar if you pull the chain up and let go.when i adjust a chain i push the saw forward to make the bar go up and stay there while i tighten the nuts.hope this helps, let me know

SOURCE: HOMELITE Textron Chain Saw, wont stay running properly.

The preset is to turn them all the way in (Don't tighten them hard or you will damage the needle) and then back each out 1 1/2 turns. This will get you started. You can then run it at full throttle and turn the high speed jet in untill you hear a change in the RPM. Then turn it out untill you hear the same. Find the happy medium.

I have a 12" Sears - Craftsman - Band Saw and the blade keeps coming off. How do I install a new blade and keep it on?

Two potential issues here:

a.) You probably need to align your bandsaw wheels. Here's a link to a craftsman 12" bandsaw manual. Assuming you have model 113243310, 113243311, 113243300, or a similar model, read over page 12-14 "Installing the blade". Specifically, look at section 10 about adjusting the tracking.

Having the blade guides set properly is important too. A thrust bearing (the one up top, behind the blade) that's set too far forward can push the blade off the wheels too.

b.) If it's flat out too loose and you can't get it tight, the blade might be too long. It's worth double checking your manual to confirm you are supposed to be using an 80" blade and double checking the blade package to make sure you actually have an 80" blade.
