Question about Philips GOGEAR SA6045 MP3 Player

Frozen solid have followed the on screen instructions to turn off my go gear, pressed reset and while connecting to the computer have held down VOL+ nothing comes up and the device manager does nothing it wont repair or update. I tried downloading new drivers from this website for this but no driver has helped yet. i cant get passed the go gear phillips screen. Its frozen solid lol Even when i reset while its not plugged in it wont go past the go gear screen. it used to come up with phillips menu now nothing please help me defrost this device!!!!!

    I have the same exact problem with mine. Even after I hit the reset button and fire the unit up again, the problem still persists. The 'GoGear' name appears but it is frozen in that mode. I can't even shut the unit off short of having to hit the reset button. I also tried the device manager function with no results.

    Same problem. When I plug it in to the USB the philips logo flashes then goes blank. The devise manager doesn't recognize it even when I press the volume+ button. The reset doesn't help.

    I also sort ot have the same problem, but i was done downloading a song, and i just disconnected it with out checkin on the screen for the "ok to disconnect" so when i looked down at my mp3, the screen was frozen and it said "Do not disconnect!"

    ...so i tried turning it off

    and it didnt work

    and i found the reset button

    the thing is....im scared of pressing it because i dont want

    any of the music on there to be erased



    If i press the reset button while its frozen

    will it erase all my music????

    After disconnecting from PC screen froze white with Philips logo. When I reset it it goes black.Device manager doesn't recognise it.None of the buttons work.

    my problem is that my philips wont turn on and when i plug it in and use devce managar it says that it has been fixed and i safley remove it and the screen flickers goes white and turns off? any help>

    i turn my player on and it freezes on me then i reset it and turn it on and it automaticly freezes again...

I have the same promblem i was listening to my music and it had full batteries and it just shut off this is so bull like i think i have to return it and buy something else!!

Press your power button and volume up, this will turn it off without losing any music.

Hard Reset
Press Vol-up&Vol-Down button at same time, Then press the power button.
This starts your devices Recovery Mode.You can do a Wipe/Factory Reset from there. Use the Vol Up&Down buttons to navigate and the power button to select.
Be Careful and DONT MESS with the Other options or you may Brick your phone.

Hi, unfortunately its a job for a technician, yr fone has to be connected to a computor to access the security setting. Its a quick job provided you have tornado cables. Take it to yr nearest trusted cellular shop.

If you cannot turn on your phone or access the phone settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the buttons on the phone.
  1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons, and then briefly press the POWER button.
  2. Wait for the screen to show the instructions on how to do the factory reset, and then release the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons.

My phone was frozen so I tried turning it on then back off. I even tried taking out the battery, but now it goes to the starting display screen and after a while turns off and goes through the same process...


You have to do a hard reset to fix this .
Turn off the phone , then press and hold vol down and up together and briefly press the power button . Follow the instructions on the screen .
Make sure your battery is more than 50 % charged .

hello , since u have tried reseting it , u have to hard rest the devive , follow the instructions below,,
Hard Reset (PRS-600/900)
WARNING: A HARD RESET WILL ERASE ALL TRANSFERRED CONTENT ON THE READER. IT WILL NOT ERASE THE BUILT-IN DICTIONARY.
1. Power off the Reader.
2. On the bottom edge of the Reader, using the stylus, press the RESET button.
3. Turn on the Reader.
4. While the screen displays Opening book... , simultaneously press and hold down the Page Turn button and the VOL + button until the Reset All screen is displayed.
NOTE: If Opening book... does not display on the screen, charge the Reader's battery for several hours before attempting the reset process again. 5. Touch YES to reset the Reader.

Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Do a hard reset. Press and hold volume down and center button and then press the red reset button behind the stylus. Cntinue holding the volume down and center button until the screen apperas with some message. Press vol up key now and let the device reset to the original factory settings..
N.B All your data and 3rd party apps will be lost

Lamp meter on Panasonic PT-40LC12 ?


I just had my picture go out two weeks ago. I took it to a local tv repair shop. They replaced the thermal fuse. I also had a spare lamp so they also replaced that. I'm not sure if they reset the lamp meter but this is what I found surfing around...try at your own risk. I'm going to try this when I go home tonight.

hold down the PIP button on the remote control at the same time for more
than 5 seconds. When the reset procedure is complete the following message
will appear on the screen. "Lamp time was reset to 0".

Go gear not working


Install and run Device Manager from the product CD.

Select the repair option, and follow the on-screen prompts.

NOTE: ALL FILES LOADED ON TO THE PLAYER WILL BE LOST.


If this doesn't work then it may be that the hard disk is faulty. There is an easy way to find out. The following procedure allows the player to connect to the PC as a removable drive. If the Pc reads the drive, then the drive is ok.

Connect the HDD1630 to the mains adaptor and the PC.

Before the computer has a chance to recognise the player, press "Power" and "Vol +" to reset the player.

As soon as the player resets (screen goes blank) press and hold "Vol -" until the PC recognises the player as a removable drive.

Try to access the player through "My Computer" as you would the main hard disk.
