Dryer does not dry clothes in 1 pass. Usually takes about 3 passes before clothes dry up.

NOT DRYER CLOTHS LIKE IT USE TO TAKING MUCH LONGER

Check for clogs in the vent air line. If dryer lint or some obstruction is slowing the air flow it will take longer to dry clothes. Also the dryer may not be getting hot enough. Check to see if the clothes feel hot or warm when you reach inside. If it feels hot enough it is likely an issue with air flow. heat and air flow are required to dry clothes.

My clothes come out wet after running for a length of time but they are hot

You have an vent issue..If the clothes are hot but not drying your not getting proper air circulation, you need airflow thru the unit to help remove the moisture from the clothing other wise you end up with warm moist clothing... Start unit and go outside to where the dryer vent comes thru the wall and check the airflow with your hand ,you should feel a good flow of warm air. If not some where between the unit and the vent their is a restriction either in the flex duct or the duct work in the wall which will need cleaned out before the clothes will dry in a normal time frame..Plus it cost a lot to run the dryer 2 or 3 cycles to dry clothes Hope this helps Good Luck

Dryer does not get hot enough to dry clothes Roper REX4634KQ1 Electric Dryer

The vent may be stopped up, or the vent hose crimped so the air cannot escape, you can check the air flow at the vent on the outside of the house while the dryer is running.
try cleaning the vent and the lint screen with a vacuum cleaner, you may need to replace the vent hose, this should solve the problem

Dryer gets hot but wont dry clothes

Do you know if the dryer vent is free of obstructions?Check outside where the dryer vents outside ,and see if the air is weak or flowing freely. If it is not clogged the air should be pretty strong from the vent outside. If it has blockage it will definitly take longer to dry your clothes.

FRIDGIDAIRE GAS DRYER MODEL # GLGR642AS2 IS NOT DRYING CLOTHES BUT GAS IS IGNITING. THANK YOU. DON

Hi Don,
So let me get this straight, you are getting heat from the gas burner and the drum rotates but your clothes remain wet? You can check a few basic things to identify where the problem lies.. First off, have you checked the lint trap and cleaned it? Secondly, have you checked your vent system ( meaning : are you sure it is not clogged anywhere in the duct or at the end where it exits outside? If that's OK.. when your system is drying clothes.. do you get hot air flow at the end of that duct? If not, your blower may not be working ..You need to move that hot air out of the tub for the system to dry. Heat, Motion to move clothes, air flow from the blower and an unimpeded path via the vent duct to outside.. Hope one of these things to check gets you going. Regards...

Clothes not drying

A couple of possibilities to check. First, is the lint trap empty? If so, then the symptoms point to hot air bypassing the drum. Look for broken or misaligned plastic ducting inside the dryer itself. Check the exhaust air for moisture, as that is a better indicator than temperature. Don't forget that towels hold an enormous amount of water, & can be extremely long in drying, especially if not spun enough.
