Reinsstall scan to e-mail

Your Sony Vaio laptop comes with a restore section pre-installed that allows you to revert the operating system's settings to an earlier date.

The restore feature is useful if your Sony Vaio has been infected with a virus or some of your hardware is no longer working properly.

If you don't want to search through all of your various settings and registry values to locate the source of the problem, an easier solution is to simply load a restore point.

Close any programs that are currently running.
Open the "Start" menu and click "All Programs."

Select "VAIO Recovery Wizard." Click "Next."
Navigate to "Media and Recovery Options" and click "Proceed with System Recovery."

Select "Next."
Click "Recovery Options," and then choose "Custom Recovery."

Click "Next," and then select "Windows System Restore."
Click "Next" and then "OK."

Click the left and right arrow buttons above the calendar to navigate to a restore point you want to load.
Click the specific restore date you want to use for your Sony Vaio laptop.

Click "Next," and then click "Confirm Restore Point Selection."

Need to restore factory sttings

When you purchased or otherwise received this unit, it came with a CD that enabled you to restore it to factory settings. You may contact ACER customer service for replacements if you are not in possession of these discs, but otherwise you are not going to be able to restore this to the point you would like to. Check your original packaging, and I am sure you will fine the discs.
