Everything works except the person I call cannot hear me. I am using skype. The echo check on skype works, I have tried two other cameras and I have the same problem. No matter how I change the settings...

The Camera and Audio setups are unrelated in both Windows and Skype. Please check your Windows Audio devices volume settings and specifically the Microphone settings: it appears to be disabled or the volume level set much too low. The windows settings overrides the settings in Skype (or in other words, Skype volume settings are a subset of the Windows volume settings). Check that Skype audio is setup properly after starting Skype: Tools -> Options -> Audio Settings -> select your required devices and volume levels. During this ajustment process, make free calls to Skype 'Echo / Sound Test Services".
Hope it helps! Let me know how you go!

Camera is not working when on Skype but sound is?

There maybe a patch available with a later driver
Go to Device Manager, Expand 'Imaging' folder and right click on your webcam text. 'Update driver' and use internet option.

Check your webcam is set to default in Skype
  • Start Skype.
  • On the Tools menu, click Options.
  • In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Audio Settings.
  • Select your logitech device as the default microphone. For example, select Logitech + model#.( if it has mic )
  • In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
  • Select your Logitech device as the default Webcam. For example, select Logitech + model #
  • Click Save.

  • Failing that check if you have the latest version of Skype

I am unable to view my picture while working on skype, yahoo or gtalk.

It doesn't sound like the problem is with the device itself. It sounds like you are trying to run the camera in two applications at the same time, or you are not closing down the previous application.

The camera may not have shut off the previous programme you were using. I/e if you have the photo capture feature on you will not be able to use the camera in Skype. Close down the camera windows, and then try skype.

The easiest thing to do is, make sure any other
