Hi rahul,

It would be better if you could some how take a backup of all the data first an then go for a system restore. But anyways just download the Bitdefender toatal security. It has 1month free trial and then run a scan.If you have anyother antispyware software you can use that also.Because spysweeper has no trial version.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Internet explorer wont run on dell laptop, blinks then nothing

Assuming you mean it starts to load, then crashes and disappers. First ensure machine has been restarted. Then if that makes no difference use system restore to go back to a time when it last definitely worked. Without giving your operating system, cant give you instructions how to use system restore, you'll need to look that up. Its very simple and only takes a few minutes and will almost certainly allow IE to load.

I forgot my administrator password for my compaq presario f730us

have you changed admin password recently ? if yes and if you remember the old admin password, you should go ahead and restore the laptop to it's previous point when new password was not set.

restart the notebook and keep tapping f11 key until Recovery manager window appears.

under I need help immediately, select Microsoft System Restore

click next

in Vista, you will find System Restore under Advance option.

Ihad a hard drive failure. After having the hard drive replaced my computer was reloaded from my rescue disks, then everything was updated, with Windows XP, SP3, and IE8. Now I get an error on page...

Try with other browser like MOZILA, CHROME..etc..

or else, you can restore your system..
for restore follow the few steps below...

  1. goto start' all programs' accessories' system tools' system restore.
  2. one new window pop up.
    then click next.
  3. select the restore point.(TIPS. select the point date before the day you update your windows)
    click next.
  4. select the drives.(TIPS. drives which contain your software(IE), usually it is in C:)
    click finish.
BEST OF LUCK. ; )

My computer keeps showing a code 19 everytime i tried to install a driver for my cd drive hl-dt-st dvdram gsa-t20n ata device. i recently installed norton and since then i cant load or run any cd's

before you do all this i suggest you try going to start and running system restore under start programs accessiories system tools - system restore and restore to a previous point when you were not having these problems... if that don't work try the next best thing

First uninstall Norton from your add remove programs in your controlpannel
Download the norton removal tool from there site
Here Run the uninstall tool.. then uninstall any drivers that you have for your cd drive then try reinstalling the cd driver once you have everything working reinstall norton

Things in the internet option is missing

Hi ,

Hope you have virus in your system
Download a free antivirus program such as avast or avg , and update it and run a full system scan. For Internet explorer issue reset the internet explorer setting to default one.

If this is not resolved your problem , Format you hard disk.

Dear,..,

yes, do the online scan. As for admin password, I will give you a link to a post on how to overcome that. But you should have a bootable Windows XP CD with serial key. I recommend you take a backup first before attempting anything though..
http://www.fixya.com/support/t571856-don_t_know_administrator_password

Best you do the scan again first, if that does not help, then try the system restore (after backing up data). Should you have problems there as well, then there is only one option...format the HDD and reinstall the OS :(

Hope that helps..OH yes, and thank you very much for all the fixya ratings ..its really boosting my ratings :)

Please help me please...

Hi friend,

Yes it is a virus. do one thing do a system restrore. But take all the backup first because once you do a system restore it will restore you PC to earlier time and all the data will erased.to do a system restore go to start>programs>all accessories>system tools>system information.

If you don't want to do a system restore then just remove the firefox and run a virus scan.Kaspersky is waste use bit defender and spyysweeper both to remove all the viruses.

Goodluck..
