The ice and water dispenser is not working - lock out is unlocked - there does not appear to be power to the dispenser, but, there is power to the refrigerator. What needed to be replaced?

The ice and water dispenser is not working. The ice maker makes ice and water is flowing to the ice maker inside the fridge, but the door dispenser will not dispense ice or water. The unit is unlocked. The light does not work as well even though the bulb is good. It appears that the door dispenser is not getting power to it.

The ice and water dispenser on the door is not working. The ice maker makes ice but it will not dispense water or ice through the door.

ice maker and water dispenser not working. i have changed the water filter correctly and powered off and on button for all in fridge part and switched a breaker for that area and nothing.

This is a known manufacturing defect. The problem is that the wire that some of the wires that run between the door and the rest of the refrigerator have broken and, believe it or not, the only solution is to replace the entire freezer door. Whirlpool is covering the cost under a hidden warranty...call them and describe the problem.

I am having the issue too. I found on another site that it might be a bad switch inside the controls. You have to pop off the cover to get to it.
