Question about Saws
The pawl that reaches out and grabs the starter cup could be worn or have jumped out with wear. This is why when you pull on the starter it does not catch. When you take off the starter housing you should also check for wear on the pulley that holds the rope. If you still have your instruction manual it will describe a starter repair to get you on your way. You should be able to find an instruction manual on the StihlUSA website.
