They never made a chair that was THAT slow! So it has to be set slower in its programming. Thats easy to fix.

See here powerchair-programming. You will need a programmmer or some dealer / workshop that has one.

Sometimes if people are weal/frail/not good with control, for any number of reasons speed will be "turned down" as will many other parameters.

As far as dealers / service etc go, I have been looking for years. Never found one with any clue yet so will leave that to others to answer.

Apparently it uses a small 40 amp PG GC CONTROLLER in the US (may be different here) which isnt shown on their website pgdt.co.uk so give them a call. They can reprogram or sell you a programmer but not cheap. A dealer is easier and takes 1 minute, It should do 4mph - are you sure it doesent? Pride dont make these systems, but can "rebrand" them. Never saw a PG GC CONTROLLER... Even on Penny and Giles website who actually make them.

Hope helps.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The Brakes could be hanging up causing bad drag on the system. The Joystick gimbal maybe wearing out. The programmer may need adjustment, but I would look at the brakes first. Strege Mobility

Why is my merits DL 5.2i stuck in low speed ?

You may have a thermal rollback issue. Try charging the chair overnight and leave the controller on while charging. This will give the control module/joystick time to reset themselves. Thermal rollback happens when a certain temperature in the motors is reached. The system shuts itself down to protect from damage.

there is a switch or potentiometer on your seat, that sends a signal to the chair to drive slowely when tilted or reclined, this is called drive lockout, you may have a malfunction or the provider didn't set it to a setting for your needs, contact them and ask for repair or reprograming which ever is the case, if that is a problem call 1-800-800-8586 talk to jazzy tech support they have a company called road runner for repairs etc.

Have a jazzy 1113. The speed profile lights flash then the chair shuts off. The batteries show full.

The flash of the speed lights indicate that you are in the charger inhibit mode and if the charger is not plugged in then you have a problem that needs to be checked by a tech or your provider that sold you your chair Sorry I don't have a quick fix

Can the speed of the Jazzy Power chair be increased beyond the setting on the armrest remote controller?

Make sure that your tires are properly inflated and that you are not carrying more weight than the power chair will allow and that your batteries are fully charged.
If you got your chair second hand, sometimes the previous owner has the technician change the controller settings to "dampen" it to slow it down to allow them greater response time and control. The technician can reprogram the controller to take it back to 100%. If you got the power chair new, it should be at 100% already.
Take it easy, HotRod. It's a medical device, not a car!
Good luck!
