The spreaker needs to be replaced. www.fixphonenow.com can replace the speaker for you for $40.

The sound does not work on my handset only on speaker, why? nokia model 2330c-2b thank you

its a hardware issue on the phone. its a problem with the headset speaker on the phone itself. your phone should also work with a hands free set. the speaker, on the earpiece, is probably no longer connected or blown. theres no way to fix this but if your phone is still under warranty you can contact your provider or nokia. every phone from nokia has a 12 month warranty automatically! i hope this helps!!

My iphone 3G rings and makes calls out but I cannot hear the caller at the other end unless I use the speaker phone. This has only happened today, never before. Any ideas?

this problem happens when your phone headset socket is damaged, you can try inserting the headphone jack in the socket and pull out repetedly many times to fix this problem.

My new Nokia N85 speaker sounds so noisy.Pls help me.

This is a fault with the speaker's design. The speaker is not making a good connection and is loose in the device. You have a couple options... Do a search on Google for the same problem with the N95. There you'll find the ****/blow trick. Basically, the idea is to blow into the speaker, you may hear it dislodge, you then **** in and the speaker will click back into place. I know this sounds completely stupid, but it is the same problem that plagued the N95 models... Nokia hasn't learned a thing in two years. Your other option is simply to send it to Nokia Support. It is about a 5 minute fix, but you may be without your device for a week or two with the whole transit/in/out times. It is a very easy problem to fix, though... and I would at least give the "****" thing a try before you send it back... http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&message.id=42335
